HEATH — Gloria Fisher wins the only contested seat during Friday’s town election.

Fisher, a 44-year resident of Heath and former Heath town coordinator, beat Alice Wozniak, the town’s assistant assessor, for the Selectboard seat. Fisher is filling a seat previously held by Selectboard Chairwoman Sheila Litchfield for the last 15 years.

A total of 201 voters got to the polls out of 519 registered in the town, resulting in a 39 percent turnout.

Fisher received 129 votes to Wozniak’s 72.

In addition to Fisher’s experience as town coordinator, she also has served on many other town boards and Finance Committee. She also was co-president of the town’s Agricultural Society for five years and was a town election worker.
