Perhaps the city has been lax in caring for them, but nonetheless the trees on Norwood Street make the street pleasant and attractive. They have survived for around 100 years and some have been cut and never replaced by younger ones, not smart in my view.

Our family has lived here for 70 years, and we think they mostly were thriving, foliage on all branches and the leaves withstood the stress and trauma of hot summers and fall gales. I strenuously object to cutting any of them, unless really diseased, and I advocate for more maples, elms, and other shade trees to be planted.
