Support Deerfield by re-electing Carolyn Ness as Selectboard member.
Ness is deeply involved in a long list of projects where she is instrumental in bringing funds to our community to address a broad range of issues, from public health and emergency planning, to climate resilience, and adequate state support of our schools.
Ness goes above and beyond for the town of Deerfield, attending county, state and regional events to learn more about ways to protect our community. She has taken advantage of numerous trainings to supplement her knowledge. She is a leader in several coalitions with neighboring towns, and is keenly aware of opportunities to bring resources and expertise to Deerfield.
I attended a workshop she organized to qualify Deerfield for Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Grants. Members of several town boards together analyzed maps and prioritized areas that need attention to reduce extensive damage from intense winter storms. Because of her work, Deerfield will receive money to address issues like clogged culverts that have created mosquito breeding grounds. Her vision will address controlling infectious diseases while expanding flood resilience zones.
We are fortunate to have someone so dedicated and competent willing to serve our town. Vote for her proven record of performance. Elect Carolyn Ness on May 7.
