The Northampton-based rock ’n’ roll band Trailer Park will kick off the fifth year of Friendly Town Live, Orange’s free concert series, on Friday, May 4, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Butterfield Park, 83 East River St.

In the event of rain, the concert will be held inside Orange Town Hall at 6 Prospect St. Hot dogs, popcorn, beverages, glow sticks and more will be for sale.

Trailer Park, which is celebrating its 24th anniversary this year, consists of James Robinson on guitar, Tom Mahnken on bass, Greg Lauzon and Rick Page on tenor saxophones, and Joe Fitzpatrick on drums. All five men provide vocals. The band’s music is a tribute to the horn-driven R&B bands of 1950s New Orleans, the catchy melodies of timeless pop, and the danceable vibe of Latin music.

Since 1994, Trailer Park has released six CDs and played over 1,000 shows throughout the Northeast, opening for acts like NRBQ, Rat Dog, WAR, Little Feat and Los Lobos.
