GREENFIELD — The Greenfield Youth Commission, in coordination with Community Action Youth Programs, will be hosting a Youth Forum on Monday at 6 p.m. at Community Action’s Youth Center, 154 Federal St.

The forum, which is for youth and will be run by youth, will provide an opportunity for youth to safely discuss their feelings and reactions to events that currently interact with their lives. This will include gun violence in schools.

“We want to provide a space for our youth to discuss how these issues affect them in a personal way. More than just safety drills at school, but rather what it really feels to be living in a time when shootings in schools are way too prevalent will be the goal,” Patty Morey Walker, Youth Commission chair, said in a press release.

Members of the Commission and Community Action will be present but will not be active participants.
