Craft and Stash Sale: The Florence Congregational Church, 130 Pine St., will sponsor a Craft and Stash Sale on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Local crafters will be selling creations including jewelry, wooden toys, quilts, painted slates, wool and knitted or crocheted bags and articles, doll clothes, ties, aprons, homemade cards and many other homemade crafts. Vendors will also be selling fabrics, notions, yarns, scrapbooking supplies and beads. A bake sale, luncheon and quilt raffle will also take place.
Racial Justice Rising Free Monthly Program: “Youth Speak Out!” will take place Saturday, 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., at First Congregational Church, 43 Silver St. Area teens will talk about their hopes and concerns in their lives, in their schools and in society. The Giving Circle Thrift Shop at 55-B North Main St. is opening Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The shop will sell adult and children’s clothing, household items, toys and more. Giving Circle Thrift Shop is a new initiative of Tripp Memorial Foundation Inc., a local nonprofit organization serving elders and their caregivers in western Massachusetts since 2001. Frontier Regional CFCE Playgroup runs through June 8. The playgroup at Sunderland Elementary School runs each Monday and Friday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Come to the free, drop-in playgroup for a morning of informal play, interactive literacy and conversation with other families and caregivers of children infant age to 5. Franklin Area Survival Center: The food pantry and thrift store, hosted by staff and volunteers, is at 96 Fourth St. The thrift store is open Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The food pantry is open Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The center is closed Federal holidays. The thrift shop is open to the general public and helps finance its food pantry.
