13th Annual Peter Cottontail’s EGGstravaganza: Saturday at 1 p.m. at Unity Park, Turners Falls. Children ages 4 to 12 are invited to take part in this great community tradition. Children will have an opportunity to get their pictures taken with Peter Cottontail. There will be a bake sale, egg hunt where children will have the challenge of finding approximately 5,000 candy and toy-filled eggs strewn throughout the park, and several raffles. Participants must bring their own basket/bag for the eggs. We would like to thank our co-sponsors The Montague Elks, Letourneau Plumbing and Greenfield Savings Bank.

Tee Ball for children ages 4 to 6: Child must be at least 4 years of age before the start date of the program. Proof of age will be required at time of registration. Program runs April 21 through June 2, on Saturday mornings from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Fees: Montague residents $40, non-residents $45. Registration deadline this Friday or until roster is full.

Nipper League Girls softball: The Purple Panthers for girls ages 7 to 9. Early April through mid-June. Practices weekdays (days/times dependent upon coaches schedule). Games vary week-to-week, on weeknights and Saturdays. Fees: Montague residents $65, non-residents $70. It is recommended Kindergarten players start with Tee Ball before playing Nipper League. We are members of the Greenfield Girls Softball League and all games are played at Murphy Park. This is a coach-pitch program. All players must bring their own glove. Non-metal cleats allowed. Enrollment minimum: 9, maximum: 12. Registration deadline this Friday or until roster is full.
