BRATTLEBORO, Vt. — The Vermont Yankee Nuclear Decommissioning Citizens Advisory Panel is scheduled to meet Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room at Brattleboro Union High School, 131 Fairground Road.
The panel will receive an overview of the Memorandum of Understanding for approval of the sale of Entergy Nuclear Vermont Yankee to NorthStar Group Services. The MOU increases to nearly $200 million the financial assurances to the state from seller and buyer for the plant’s accelerated decommissioning. It was recently filed with the state Public Utility Commission.
All meetings of the advisory panel are open to the public. The public can submit comments to the Panel by emailing PSD.NDCAP@vermont.gov.
