This is in response to the letter written by Ms. Goldberg on Jan. 23.

The “misfits” she refers to are members of our community. They contribute by frequenting a small, local business whose owners are generous in their donations to the town. They stand on the sidewalk because laws prevent them from smoking inside.

I feel certain they all know smoking is a health hazard. (Cannabis is a form of medicine for many. Quells anxiety.) We are a town made up of many forms of misfits. That’s what I love about Greenfield.

May I suggest you cross the street or take a different route to buy your scratch tickets. By the way, gambling is a hazard to your pocketbook.
