Three Mohawk Trail Regional High School Nordic ski members earned top 20-finishes as the Warriors competed in their first meet of the Berkshire Ski League season Sunday in Dalton.
Mount Greylock Regional School swept team victories, as the boys’ team amassed 18 points and the girls’ team won with 10 points.
The boys’ team finished seventh with 114 points, led by Noel Anderson’s 18th-place finish in 22 minutes, 52 seconds. Anderson was followed by Guy Rice-Lesure, who took 20th overall in 23:39. Teammates Sam Nelson (37th, 30:27) and Billy Hanson (39th, 32:12) also competed for the Warriors.
In the girls’ race, Mohawk was sixth overall with 94 points. Erika Looman was the team’s top performer, crossing the line in 20th place overall with a time of 28:12. Right behind was Mae Rice-Lesure in 21st position just one second behind, while Lilliana Manley captured 25th place in 28:50.
Rounding out the squad was Hollin Keyser-Parker in 28th place (29:43) and Brooke Looman in 44th (37:47).
Northfield Mount Hermon School’s Adam Carlisle was the overall winner in the boys’ race, crossing first in 18:49. Brandi Gill of Mount Greylock won the girls’ race in 22:58.
KOC Hoop Shoot
The Greenfield Knights of Columbus Council 133 will hold its Hoop Shoot at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Greenfield YMCA.
The competition is open to all girls and boys in Franklin County between the ages of 9 and 14 as of Jan. 1. Age group winners will advance to the District Championships in February also at the Greenfield YMCA.
Registration begins at 3 and the competition takes place immediately after.

GHS HoopHall tickets
The Greenfield High School girls’ basketball team is selling tickets for the upcoming HoopHall Tournament at Springfield College on Friday at 4:30 against Hampshire Regional High School.
Face value of tickets to get into the tournament, which also features national teams, cost $10 but the team is selling them for $6 and must sell 100 for being asked to play in the tournament. Nationally ranked teams from across the country join several local teams to take part in the weekend-long tournament.
