Drew Conant went 8-for-10 for 125 yards with a pair of touchdown passes and a pair of two-point conversion passes as Greenfield Middle School defeated Eaglebrook Varsity, 30-26, in a football game Tuesday.
Bob Provost rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns for the Green Wave, and Darien Dejesus caught both touchdowns from Conant.
Ryan Pulzari and Dejesus each had an interception to lead the defense, while Joey White recovered a fumble. Deion Brewington also played well defensively.
Greenfield Men’s League
Jon Hall capped a 52-yard drive with a 13-yard touchdown pass to Kendall Schneider and Travel Kuz defeated Sirum’s, 6-0, in a Greenfield Men’s Touch Football game Sunday at Green River Field in Greenfield.
Sirum’s made four trips to the red zone but came up short each time. Justin Fox and Shane Andrews led the Travel Kuz defense. Chucky St. Hilaire and Aaron Bassett each played well on the defensive line for Sirum’s.
• In other action, Pat Viencek threw six touchdown passes as Between The Uprights blasted Hubie’s Tavern, 39-0, in the “Battle of Avenue A Sports Bars.”
Tom Field and Jake MacLeay each caught two touchdowns in the win, while Tom Richmond and Casey Blanchard each added one TD catch. CJ Brady and Chris Howell led the Hubie’s defense.
• Finally, Mike Murray hit Viset Keo for a tipped-ball touchdown to help short-handed Falcons to a 6-6 tie with Rocketfusion.com in overtime.
George Smith and Murray played well defensively for the Falcons.
Jordan Markham got Rocketfusion on the board early when he hit Jalen Sanders for a 17-yard touchdown pass.
Erving League
Rodney Ebbighausen and Ken Dixon shot 35 to capture low-gross honors Tuesday at the Erving League held at Northfield Golf Course.
Bob Moco and Peter McAndrews won a match of cards for low net at 30, while Ebbighauen was the match medalist with a 38, followed by Frank Ribeiro (40).
Closest to the pin honors went to Lloyd Grover on No. 6 (11 feet, 1 inch) and Ribeiro on No. 7 (4-4).
The season-ending 18 hole scramble is set for Oct. 14. League non-members are invited to play and enjoy the play, games and steak dinner. Call the clubhouse for details.
CCG morning crew and 18 Hole
Terry Doton, Rocky Barbuto, Bob Lively and Michelle Hazlett shot 63 to capture first place at the Country Club of Greenfield’s morning crew and 18 hole women’s scramble held Tuesday.
Richard Rockstroh, Bob Barclay, Steve Putnam, Nancy Donoghue and Anne Echeverria were second with a 64.
Chase’n A Mason 5K
The ninth annual Chase’n A Mason 5K Road Race will be held Oct. 7 at 9:30 a.m. at Masonic Lodge on Masonic St. in Turners Falls.

“Pack The House Night”
Frontier Regional School girls’ volleyball is holding a “Pack The House Night” on Thursday at Goodnow Gymnasium in South Deerfield.
The Red Hawks are hosting Amherst Regional High School that day with the middle school (4 p.m.), junior varsity (5 p.m.) and varsity (6 p.m.) all playing. The Volleyball Booster Club will have food, raffles, a 50/50 and free prizes, including gift cards all day. There will also be a special presentation during the varsity match.

The Great Falls Middle School girls’ basketball team is seeking a coach for the upcoming season.

New officials course
The Hampshire-Franklin International Association of Approved Basketball Officials will hold New Candidates Classes on Wednesday nights at 7 beginning this Wednesday and lasting through Nov. 15 at Amherst Regional High School.
Anyone interested in officiating high school or middle school should sign up and attend classes to prepare for the two-part IAABO National Exam on Nov. 6 and Nov. 20.
Andy Rogers and Jim Cleveland will run the class, which costs $150 and includes rule book, materials and examination fee.
