Winchester, NH – It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that the family of Bill Chmyzinski announces his passing on May 21, 2026. He was born in Greenfield, MA on November 7, 1971, he later made his home with his wife, Lynn, in the quaint town of Winchester, NH. Bill’s life was a testament to his resilience, love and unwavering strength.
Bill was the beloved son of Ed Chmyzinski and Brenda Stetson. Brenda Stetson, predeceased him, becoming his guardian angel, watching over him with loving care from above. Brenda’s influence in his life was profound, and her spirit lived on in Bill. He is survived by his father, Ed Chmyzinski and his wife Susan Wright of Sunderland and his two half siblings, Casey Wright and Christie Wright.
Bill is also survived by his devoted wife, Lynn, with whom he shared a love story that reflected courage and commitment. Their journey together began over 15 years ago. Their bond that was further solidified in love and adversity when they both faced cancer diagnosis. They married on October 1, 2022. That day symbolized their shared resilience fought, their love remained a beacon of hope and strength, a testament to their unwavering devotion to one another.
Bill was a man of great character and heart. His brother, Boone, survives him, a cherished sibling bond that was deeply treasured. Boone and Bill shared countless memories and moments that spoke of brotherhood and unwavering support. In addition to Boone, Bill leaves his nephew, Sam Chmyzinski who he loved very much. He spent a lot of time talking with Sam and loved their amazing bond. He also leaves his niece Amanda Chmyzinski. Bill thought Amanda was an amazing person, talented and knew she would go far in life. He had many extended families, including loving cousins, friends, aunts and uncles. He was loved because of his warmth and genuine spirit and sometimes his grumpiness.
Bill’s career was marked by dedication, yet in his later years, he chose to prioritize his health and family, making every moment count. His battle with illness was shared with Lynn, and together they faced each day with courage and determination to fight. Bill became an unexpected father when he married Lynn. He loved her and family deeply. Step-son Jason Tidlund and partner Joleen Millar, Gregory & Jessica Tidlund, Christopher Weeden, Megan & Richard Pendleton, Matthew Weeden, Marybeth & Dustin Godale and Gabriel Weeden. Their connection and support were pillars of strength for Bill and I throughout his life.
Bills heart may have faltered, but his spirit remained. His legacy is one of love, resilience and spirit. He will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him. Though Bill’s life was marked by challenges, it was also filled with moments of profound joy and love that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Calling hours will be held SATURDAY JUNE 6, 2026, from 1-3PM at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal Street, Greenfield followed by a brief remembrance service at 3pm.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at a later date where family and friends will gather to honor the memory of a truly remarkable man whose love, courage and kindness will forever remain in our hearts.
