George Hall, Jayne Edwards, Al Blanchard Sr. and Mitch Lata shot a 64 to win the Mark K. Memorial Mixed Golf League Monday night at Oak Ridge Golf Club in Gill.
Al Holmes, Dan Maloy, Butch Trinque and Al Blanchard Jr. came in second with a 67.
CCG Women’s League
Susan Plante’s low-gross 43 put her atop the A Division at the Women’s League at the Country Club of Greenfield Monday as the league held a ‘Three Clubs and a Putter’ round.
Tilly Clark nabbed the low-net score with a 36 in the A Division.
In B Division action, Donna Covey won a match of cards to win low gross with a 48, while Ellen Bitzer scored low net with a 37.
Angie Bergquist carded a 47 to finish with the low gross in the C Division. Kim French had the low net with a 32.
GHS field hockey car wash
The Greenfield High School field hockey team will hold a car wash on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Shell Station on the Mohawk Trail.
The car wash is free. Donations are accepted.

Greenfield High School released its starting times for fall practices that begin this week. Here’s the rundown:
• Field hockey: Greenfield High School (grades 7-12), Thursday at 9 a.m.
• Golf: Country Club of Greenfield (grades 8-12), Thursday at noon
• Boys’ soccer: Greenfield High School (grades 9-12), Thursday at 2:15 p.m.
• Girls’ volleyball: Nichols Gymnasium (grades 8-12), Thursday at 9 a.m.
• Boys’ and girls’ cross-country: Greenfield High School (grades 8-12), Thursday at 3 p.m.
• Cheerleading: Greenfield High School (grades 9-12), Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
• Girls’ soccer: Greenfield High School (grades 9-12), Aug. 28 at 3 p.m.

Deerfield rec seeks coach
The Deerfield Recreation Department is looking for a field hockey coach. The instructional program is for children in Union 38 in grades 3-6. Instruction includes drills and skills with no games. Valley Storm tryouts
The Valley Storm fast-pitch softball team will hold tryouts for the following teams:
• The 14-and-under tryouts are scheduled for today and Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Merritt Field in Sunderland. All pitchers and catchers should show up on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Merritt Field.
