Smitty’s Pub defeated Main Street Bar & Grille, 5-4, to win the Greenfield Co-Rec Adult Softball League A Division championship Saturday at Green River Field in Greenfield.
Main Street came out of the loser’s bracket in the double-elimination tournament and beat Smitty’s, 15-12, in the first game to force a decisive game.
Cassy Jouannet and Doug Letourneau were named Most Valuable Players for Smitty’s.
The Outlaws defeated the Spirit Shoppe in the B Division championship game.

Northfield Two-Ball
Jason Kelton and Nate Burdick carded a 63 to win the Two-Ball Championship at Northfield Golf Course over the weekend.
Shane Foster and Matt Deane came in second with a 66, while Garrett Plifka and Nate Stavseth tied Dan Korpita and Mike Korpita for third place with a 68.
Rodney Ebbighausen and John Hodgman tied Dennis Bleau and Kevin Lancto for low net with a 61. Four teams — Scott Consolini and Derek Panaia, Jon Shea and Robert Shea, Richard Armetrout and Myron Holloway, and Chad Softic and Rob Haigh — tied for third place with a 62.
Jim Merati was closest to the pin on No. 6 at 5 feet, while Derek Panaia was closest on No. 7 at 3-2. Merati had another great tee shot on No. 15 to win closest to the pin on 9-10, and Pete Hayes was closest on No. 16 at 6-11.
Jason Kelton won the long-drive competition on No. 9 at 270 yards, and Kevin Wheeler was longest on No. 18 at 300 yards.
CFC Senior Championship
Tim Rice shot a 150 to win the Senior Championship at Crumpin-Fox Club in Bernardston over the weekend.
Ed Winseck was second at 154. Erik Barnes was third at 155.
Dave Benoit won low net with a 137 and won in a playoff over John Dwyer, who came in second with a 137. Jordan Haskell, George Anderson and Dick Barnes tied for third net with a 139.
Edge Hill Two-Ball
Brett Sallee and Greg Bergerson shot a 71 to win low gross during the Two-Ball Championship at Edge Hill Golf Course in Ashfield.
Mike Earl and Mark Eaton won low net with a 56. Ellen Bitzer and Paul Champigny won low net in the Couples Division with a 60, while Peggy Warwick and Ellen Bitzer won low net in the Ladies Division with a 73.
Peggy Warwick won the women’s long drive on No. 2, while Dave Cote won men’s long drive on No. 11. Ronnie Parker was closest to the pin on No. 10 at 13-8, while Cote was closest to the pin on No. 16 at 13-4.
John Johnston, Gail Johnson, Nick Johnston and Jamie Johnston shot a 61 to win the Four-Person, 18-Hole Scramble Fundraiser Tournament at the Ashfield Community Golf Club on Saturday.
Three teams shot a 61 and had to go to a playoff to determine the top three places. Ben Niles, Bob Niles, John Horrocks and Wayne Clark were second with a 61, and Maggie Valentine, Drew Powell, George Reese and Dave Peer were third with a 61.
Nick Johnston and Jamie Johnston won the long drive on No. 4, while Maggie Valentine and Nick Johnston were closest to the pin on No. 9. Peer was closest on No. 5.
CC of G Husband-Wife
Rich and Raye Young shot a 70 to win low gross in the 2017 Husband & Wife Championship at the Country Club of Greenfield on Sunday.
Mike and Liz Archer came in second with a 71, while Jack and Teresa Varner tied Chris and Angie Varilly for third with a 72.
Matt and Dawn Bete won low net with a 53. Gordon and Susan Parker were second with a 54, and Bill and Jane Plumley were third with a 55.
Blanchard shoots age
Terry Blanchard of Greenfield shot a 66 on Sunday to better his age of 67 by one stroke.
Valley Storm tryouts
The Valley Storm fast-pitch softball team will hold tryouts for three teams.
• The 12-and-under tryouts are scheduled on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Merritt Field in Sunderland.

Babe Ruth Fall Ball
The Franklin County Babe Ruth Baseball Association will hold its final registration session for its Fall Baseball League Wednesday from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Abercrombie Field in Greenfield.
The Fall League is open to anyone age 12 through 14. Babe Ruth is the next step for those players aging out of Cal Ripken next season and Fall Ball is a great introduction to a full-size diamond.
