Public hearing on culverts scheduled for Tuesday

BERNARDSTON — The Conservation Commission is holding a public hearing Tuesday, July 18, starting at 6:30 p.m. in Town Hall to consider proposed methods to clean culverts primarily using town highway equipment.

Trivia night coming Tuesday

NORTHFIELD — Dickinson Memorial Library is holding a trivia night at Cameron’s Winery at 105 Main St. on Tuesday, July 18, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Individuals age 21 and up are invited to come with a team of up to five, or they can be matched with a team upon arrival. Keeping with the library’s summer program team “Build a Better World,” questions will be related to hearts, hammers and hands, three tools with which to build a better world.

Children to meet Paul Mark

NORTHFIELD – Dickinson Memorial Library is hosting “A Day in the Life of Our State Rep,” a chance for children to meet Rep. Paul Mark, on Thursday, July 20, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

As part of the summer library program “Build a Better World,” the free event aims to teach children what it’s like trying to build a better world through government.

Library program to unveil Rubik’s Cube’s secrets

NORTHFIELD — Dickinson Memorial Library is hosting “Secrets of the Rubik’s Cube” on Friday, July 21, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

As part of the summer library program “Build a Better World,” presenter Joshua Carnes will teach children the algorithms to solve the Rubik’s Cube. The free event is recommended for children ages 10 and up.

Pre-registration isn’t necessary, but the first five children to register will receive a free Rubik’s Cube. Visit the library at 115 Main St. or call 413-498-2455 to register.
