Jack Golden will perform “Garbage Is My Bag” at Shea Theater on June 4 at 2 p.m. All children accompanied by an adult will receive free admission to the show. Adults are $10.

Meet the trashologist known as “Dr. T” in a rare local appearance.

Golden has a zany, irresistible personality and a marvelous “trash-to-treasure” machine. He’ll juggle and tell jokes as he makes his way through a world of waste.

Dr. T delights his audiences while sharing his knowledge that rubbish is a resource that is just too good to throw away.

Since 1989, “Garbage Is My Bag” has been helping people around the country explore the serious issues of wasteful habits in a hilarious context of a professionally staged show.

Golden, in his role at Dr. T, uses the power of live performance to engage audiences with facts about solid waste problems and positive models on how to solve them.

The goal of the program is to strengthen new attitudes toward common resources.

Tickets for the show can be purchased at: www.brownpapertickets.com.
