The Four Rivers boys ultimate team won its home opener in Greenfield on Thursday. The Otters downed visiting Amherst, 15-6.
Four Rivers (2-0) got 10 assists from Kolin Broderick. Cooper Whitney had four assists with five goals. Oliver Bartos and Henry Schwerin played effectively all over the field for the undefeated Otters.
College
Through 16 games, Franklin Tech graduate Hannah Gilbert is hitting .280 for the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts softball team. Gilbert has 14 hits, with eight doubles and a triple. In the circle, she’s 4-2 with five complete games and a 1.21 ERA and 31 strikeouts. The Trailblazers (9-7) have won eight straight. Gilbert had a combined five RBI in a home sweep of New England College on March 31.
The Little East Conference named Shaelyn Mullen of Greenfield a member of the conference’s All-Academic for the 2025-2026 season. To be named to the LEC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore standing in the classroom, have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the previous semester, and have been at their current institution for at least one full academic year. Mullen is a member of the Westfield State swim team.
Golf
The Country Club of Greenfield is holding its Youth Golf Camp starting on Monday, June 22-25. Kevin Piecush, a PGA golf professional with over 35 years of experience is offering the golf camp for youth golfers.

Here are the scores from Shelburne Falls from week ending on April 3. In Sunday Scotch Doubles, Nick Brown and Robby Wood rolled a 115 in high single and a 315 in high triple. In Monday’s Mixed League, Felicity Pickett scored a 104 in high single while Marilyn carded a 292 in high triple. Kyle Leger scored a 124 in high single and a 328 in high triple.
In Tuesday’s League, Debbie Richards scored a 98 in high single and a 250 in high triple. In Wednesday’s Mixed League Missy Finn scored a 114 in high single and a 284 in high triple. John Eicholz scored a 130 in high single. In high triple, Erich Price rolled a 331. In Thursday’s Mixed League, Colleen Barrows scored a 115 in high single and a 326 in high triple. Bob Lee scored 130 in high single while Jeff Brisson carded a 326 in high triple.
