ASHFIELD — Ashfield Community Theater presents “A Delightful Quarantine” by Mark Dunn, a comedy about how people react to each other when there’s nowhere else to go.
Shows in the Town Hall are at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, May 26 and 27; at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 28; and at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 2. Tickets are $6 for the Sunday matinee on May 28 and $12 for all other dates.
In this play, an abrupt quarantine shuts the residents of seven Pennsylvania houses and their visitors indoors for three days. Trapped together are a mother and the daughter she gave up for adoption years before, two couples who find themselves stuck with each other’s spouses, a cat lover and her non-cat-loving date, two 11-year-olds playing dress-up with an elderly neighbor’s treasure trove of outfits, and more.
The performance is directed by Dan Jarvis. Rose Carragher is the Stage Manager. The play is co-produced by Jackie Walsh and David Knowles. Costumes are by Marcine Appel. Stefan Topolski designed the lighting, Jasper Cowley acquired the props, and Chip Roughton designed the sound.
This production is directed by Dan Jarvis and is a collaboration with the Outrageous Misfortunates comedy ensemble.
