On recent discussions about what to do with people living illegally in the United States, I offer a compromise.
ICE rounds them up. They go to court. If there are no other criminal charges, they are given a green card, 10 years probation, Social Security number. At the end of 10 years, if they have not been arrested for anything else, the charges are dismissed. No criminal record at all and they can then go on to become citizens if they choose.
