NORTHFIELD — Local genealogy expert Sara Campbell presents “Samuel Holton and the History of Northfield” on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Dickinson Memorial Library.
Holton was a notable descendant of the first settlers of Northfield. The presentation includes primary documents she has researched using a grant from the Northfield Cultural Council.
Campbell teaches at Greenfield Community College and leads a genealogy group in Turners Falls.
LEYDEN — The Council on Aging is hosting a spring luncheon on Wednesday, April 19 from noon to 1:30 p.m. downstairs in Town Hall.

NORTHFIELD — The Dickinson Memorial Library presents “Under One Sky: A Song and Story Celebration” on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
Renowned Shelburne Falls performer Davis Bates will tell stories and sing songs from a variety of cultures. Bates has been telling stories for 38 years, winning a gold Parents’ Choice Award for his recording “Family Stories.”
The event, which is suitable for ages 4 and up, is free and is sponsored by the Northfield Cultural Council.
NORTHFIELD — Lucinda Kidder of Silverthorne Theater Company will visit the Senior Center on Thursday, April 20 at 11 a.m. to talk about Silverthorne Theater Company’s production of “Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris.”
LEYDEN — The Council on Aging is screening the 2016 film “Lion” on Friday, April 21, from 7 to 9 p.m. upstairs in Town Hall.
LEYDEN — To celebrate Earth Day on Saturday, April 22, residents are gathering at Town Hall at 9 a.m. to clean up the environment.
Residents are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring gloves. A light lunch will be provided by the Police Department.

LEYDEN — Ceramic artist Rhonda Wainshilbaum is holding one of three clay workshops on Sunday, April 23 from 2 to 5 p.m. at 46 River Road.
Participants will make 12-inch clay ducks or chickens for their gardens, but will need to come back at a later date to glaze their pieces. The workshop costs $50 and includes all materials, though attendees can get $5 off for bringing a new participant.
