3:26 p.m. — Burglary, breaking and entering reported on Greenfield Cross Road. Caller reported coming home from work, found door kicked in.
5:25 p.m. — Report of burglary, breaking and entering, on Dry Hill Road. Back door kicked in, front door wide open. Police found a can of change was missing.
12:55 a.m. — Vandalism to Eleventh Street apartment; back door broken, vehicle punched.
11:17 a.m. — Caller reports that her insurance company tells her ex-boyfriend has registered a motor vehicle in her name; advised of her options.
11:50 a.m. — Caller reports his mother being harassed on Facebook; both advised of their options.
1:07 p.m. — Report of a hit-and-run incident on Country Club Road, sometime between 12:30 and 1 p.m. Vehicle impacted had scrapes on driver’s side rear bumper.
9:45 a.m. — A minor accident without injuries occurred between a red 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe and a gray 2016 Ford Fusion at the intersection of Silver and Federal streets.
12:57 p.m. — A caller at Mattress Outlet, located at 142 Main St., reported two men fighting in the doorway, who reportedly ran in separate directions when police approached. The incident led to the arrest on a warrant of Samuel Tenney, 35, of Turners Falls.
4:59 p.m. — A caller at the Hangar Pub and Grill, located at 30 Federal St., reports his vehicle, a gray 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee, was struck sometime this afternoon. The vehicle’s front bumper was damaged.
6:55 p.m. — The manager at Big Y, located at 237 Mohawk Trail, reports four or five individuals fighting in the bakery area. After questioning, it was determined a man was observed shoplifting and was confronted by several staff members, which led to the disturbance. Employees restrained the man until police arrived, arresting Jesse Michael Odle, 20, of Greenfield on charges of shoplifting and disorderly conduct.
4:11 p.m. — An accident without injuries occurred at the intersection of Davis and Norwood streets. With no units available, Massachusetts State Police was advised to respond.
5:02 p.m. — Douglas Belanger, 28, of Mountain Road in Erving was arrested by police on a warrant. He was charged at Main and Conway streets.
Montague, March 28
1:28 p.m. — Reported break-and-entry into unoccupied house on Millers Falls Road. Front door was kicked in. Under investigation.
4:47 p.m. — Report of vandalism to Highland Avenue home. Window screen on front living room window is missing; no signs of forced entry.
1:29 — Officer requested to attend a potentially volatile parent/teacher meeting at Sheffield School.
12:56 a.m. — Police arrested Zachary D. Shepardson, 27, on Federal Street Friday morning. The School Street Greenfield resident was charged with speeding, negligent operation of his vehicle, driving with a suspended license, a second offense of driving under the influence and failure to stop for the police.
3:35 p.m. — Police and firefighters responded to the report of a structure fire at 90 High St. after a passerby reported smoke coming from the building. The smoke was found to be coming from a pellet stove and units were canceled.
8:32 p.m. — Police responded to the report of an assault in the parking lot behind Wilson’s Department Store on Chapman Street. Callers reported an intoxicated man, the assault victim, was on the ground and a second man in dark clothing, possibly with a moustache, had punched him. The second man allegedly left on foot headed toward Conway Street, and was gone on arrival. The victim refused medical attention and said he did not know the man who struck him.
7:09 p.m. — Police arrested Luke M. Thouin, 23, of Plainfield Road in Ashfield, who was charged with driving under the influence and driving recklessly so as to endanger. The arrest took place following a traffic stop on Cherry Street. A passenger was taken into protective custody.
9:53 p.m. — Police arrested Thomas D. Brissette, 39, Brookside Avenue, on a warrant following reports of an unwanted person at the Winslow Building on Wells Street.
10:37 p.m. — Police stopped a driver for erratically driving their car near Four Corners Fine Wine and Spirits on Federal Street. Elizabeth L. Peterson, 36, of Silver Street in Greenfield was arrested on charges of driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level above 0.08, driving recklessly, driving after having registration revoked, failure to stop and marked lane violations.
7:49 a.m. — Elizabeth F. Teft, 28, of Water Street in Greenfield was arrested a warrant outside of the Miles Street Hotel.
