The Greenfield High School girls’ basketball team will host Pioneer Valley Regional School as part of Coaches vs. Cancer fundraiser Friday night at 7 at Nichols Gymnasium in Greenfield.
Donations will be collected throughout the evening, and a 50/50 raffle will also be conducted.
All proceeds raised during the evening will benefit the American Cancer Society.
The program is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the national Association of Basketball Coaches.

Sleigh Bell Run results
Samuel Morris was the top overall finisher in the Greenfield Winter Carnival Sleigh Bell run on Saturday.
Morris completed the 4-mile race in 21 minutes, 22 seconds. Marcy Cabanas was the top female finisher in 25:48.
The top male and female under-19 finishers were Sohan Tyner (24:46) and Patti Mazeski (37:53), while John Benjamin (24:22) and Allison Willis (37:09) were the top ages 19 through 29 finishers.
In ages 30 to 39, Grant Gonzalez (23:51) and Angela Schatz (27:00) were the top make and female finishers, while Ben Whitbeck (24:26) and Angela Worden-Corey (32:24) were tops in ages 40 to 49.
Steve Power (25:46) and Kate Koonz (32:50) were the first male and female in ages 50 to 59, and Chuck Adams (30:25) and Joan Lapierre (31:31) were the respective ages 60 and up winners.
FC Tech tourney
The eighth-annual Franklin County Technical School Dodgeball Tournament will be held March 3 beginning at 6 p.m.
Teams of five will compete in double-elimination matches to be held at the school. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top two teams.
Teams must register by March 1 to be eligible to play. There is a $30 registration fee per team, which is due at the time of registration.

The public is invited to attend the event, and general admission is just $2. All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the FCTS Athletic Programs.
This will be the final year of the tournament run by Franklin Tech.

Pioneer Valley Regional School is seeking to fill the following coaching openings for the spring season:
Middle school and varsity softball, junior varsity and varsity baseball, and assistant girls’ track.
