GREENFIELD — BRW Electronics has announced it will close its location in Greenfield at the end of March, citing an unsuccessful attempt to negotiate a new lease at its current location.
Owner Ira Brezinsky said Sunday that the business will continue at its Brattleboro, Vt., location, and will again be a RadioShack dealer.
“We truly would love to stay in business in Greenfield and if the opportunity arises somewhere down the road for us to reopen in an appropriate location, we welcome that opportunity,” he said.
On Sunday the store at 255 Mohawk Trail began its closing sale, with all in-store merchandise 20 percent off and discounts to get higher in the weeks before the close.
The store has until the end of its lease in March to close and expects to be out by March 28.
Brezinsky said he has not been able to find a retail location in Greenfield. The store has been in the Big Y shopping center for 17 years.
“We wish to thank all of the wonderful and loyal customers in Greenfield and the surrounding area who have sustained us for so many years and look forward to seeing many of them in our flagship store in Brattleboro,” Brezinsky said in a press release.
