Meredith Townsley of Bernardston, a nursing major, was named to the Dean’s List at Elm’s College in Chicopee for the fall semester. She is the daughter of Michael and Susan Townsley and is a graduate of Pioneer Valley Regional School in Northfield.

Greenfield

Alexandria Harrington, daughter of Dania Harrington of Greenfield, has been named to the dean’s list of Macalester College, St. Paul, Minn., for academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2016-17 school year. New free Healthy Bones/Balance Class: The YMCA in Greenfield is offering free exercise classes for people who have osteoporosis, osteopenia or who just want to strengthen their bones. This fun, beneficial exercise program builds bones, muscles, strength, flexibility and improves balance with light weights and balls provided. Baystate Franklin Medical Center is offering the Caregiver Support Group formed to support caregivers in the emotionally and physically taxing role of taking care of loved ones who, for a variety of reasons, are unable to take care of themselves.
