10:17 p.m. — Accident at Allen and Conway streets, where the reporting person says a red truck with a plow and ladders on it struck multiple signs there, and nearly struck another truck; it left heading toward Main Street and the reporting person couldn’t get the plate number; second caller then states she witnessed a white pick-up with red lettering that struck an electric box and then continued to run it over; it then went into Foster’s parking lot, but the caller is no longer on the scene; dispatch spoke to the town electrician per the Fire Department and he is en route from Chicopee; officers investigating then went to Hampton Inn where two arrests were made; arrested was Marc Janvrin, 48, of Salisbury, charged with operating under the influence of liquor, second offense, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and leaving the scene of property damage; also arrested was Ryan Turcotte, 38, of Monmouth, Maine, charged with operating under the influence of liquor or .08 percent or more, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. The town electrician advised that there is nothing he can do and will have to call the traffic light company to replace the box; also the electrician advises we need to call Eversource regarding the traffic control pedestal that is still charged, and will need replacing; Eversource was advised. The vehicle was towed.
1:32 a.m. — Suspicious activity reported on Sanderson Street, where a caller advises a male was ringing the doorbell, asking to come in and sleep; but smells of alcohol; described as blonde, wearing jeans and a green thermal shirt; officer responded and took him into custody as it is the person they were looking for, regarding an earlier assault and battery; confirmed it to be the male that fled from a domestic incident on Riddell Street; he was then placed under arrest; officers followed up with the victim of the assault and battery, who was being discharged from Baystate Franklin Medical Center; she confirmed she wished to press charges; arrested was Tristan Pierce Adams, 31, of East Millcreek, Utah, charged with assault and battery, and assault on family/household member.
8:23 a.m. — Reporting person says this part of Adams Road is very icy; the DPW was notified by radio.
8:49 a.m. — Officer found a vehicle parked in the rest area on the Mohawk Trail, with no foot prints around it; the operator was found sleeping and he reports he works the third shift in Hadley, and was too tired to make it home, so he took a nap
9:44 a.m. — Accident reported at Colrain and Nashs Mill Roads; found to be two vehicles, minor damage, and no injuries reported. Report issued.
2:11 p.m. — An accident without injuries occurred on Shelburne Road involving a white 2009 Toyota Sienna. The van veered off the right side of the road and into a cement post, causing extensive damage that led to the van being towed.
3:25 p.m. — A minor accident without injuries occurred at the Greenfield Savings Bank ATM located at 237 Mohawk Trail between two Toyota Highlanders.
9:21 a.m. — Greenfield police and firefighters responded to a dryer fire at Village Shops Laundromat, located at 63 French King Highway. The fire was extinguished with a portable extinguisher. Berkshire Gas Company also responded.
11:45 a.m. — A Montague dispatcher reported receiving a call regarding an erratic white Audi on Turners Falls Road, which later pulled into Stop & Shop, located at 89 French King Highway. The original caller had said the car was swerving all over the road, nearly hitting two vehicles. Police arrested Gary Alec Martin, 45, of Turners Falls for operating under the influence of alcohol and for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
7:07 p.m. — 30-44 Federal St.: Toyota Tacoma and a Nissan Altima collided when the Nissan was turning left out of The Hanger restaurant’s parking lot on Federal Street. Police assisted in gathering information for insurance purposes.
12:30 a.m. — 14 Main St.: arrested Jarrod Lyle Larhette, 30, of 11 Mill St., Apt. 3 in Greenfield on a warrant.
8:30 a.m. — Bank Row and Mill Street. Report that a truck had gotten stuck under the bridge at the bottom of Bank Row. The truck was owned by National Liability and Fire Insurance Co. Police issued the driver a citation.
9:44 p.m. — Report of a burglary at K Street home. The caller’s bed frame and coffee table were smashed, and a few other big furniture items were overturned and broken. The burglar stole a few items. Caller thought the burglary was the result of a disagreement.
