SHELBURNE — A two-car collision resulted in minor injuries and briefly closed a section of Route 2 Wednesday night, along a hilly stretch known as the “rock cut.”

According to State Police spokesman Dustin Fitch, the collision occurred at 9:30. The accident is still under investigation and the police report was incomplete on Thursday.

The passenger in a 2003 Ford F350, a 30-year-old woman from Adams, complained of minor injuries and was evaluated at the scene. The driver of the F350, a 35-year-old Adams man, was not injured. The second vehicle, a 2013 Ford Fusion, was driven by a 31-year-old West Brattleboro, Vt., man.

According to Fitch, the roadway near the accident was closed in both directions for about 30 minutes, until the vehicles were removed. One lane was open to traffic around 10:17, and the road was fully open by 10:28.

State Police from the Shelburne barracks responded, assisted by Mass. Department of Transportation workers.
