Lately I have been realizing just how special New England is to me. You can go skiing, to the beach and discover 400 years of culture all in one state. I found out two friends felt the same love for the area.

We are three local high school students that want to show our love for New England. We love the unique place we live in, so we decided to create a school project on it. Specifically, we have been looking at what makes New England, New England. There is much culture uniquely specific to New England. It’s a reason many people live, work and play here.

We have been focusing on how we can preserve these uniquely New England things. This is the reason why we want public exposure. We are opening up our project to the local community, and what better way than through our local newspaper? We want to know what the public thinks.

Do you feel strongly about New England culture, too? If so, we’d like to hear what you have to say. Why do you love to live here? How would you describe New England culture? Why should we hold onto in New England’s heritage and culture? What parts of New England culture are unique to the area? Contact us at jskelly@fourriverscharter.org. Thank you for your time.
