Greenfield, Dec. 5

4:43 p.m. — Traffic complaint concerning report of speeding motor vehicles on Wells Street where the caller stated they are having trouble with WB Mason trucks speeding through the area heading toward Main Street; he is filing a complaint with WB, and requested it be logged; the speeding truck today was at 4:33 p.m.

5:30 p.m. — Accident reported at Roberto’s on Federal Street where two vehicles were involved; two females were first involved and then started arguing. Officers on scene and services rendered.

6:52 p.m. — Despondent person reported at the Winslow Building on Wells Street where the reporting person says a crying female is knocking on doors on the fourth floor, and is possibly intoxicated; officers sent and the female was taken into custody; arrested was Sharlene Jenkins, 54, of Chapman Street, Greenfield, charged with disorderly conduct, subsequent offense, and disturbing the peace.

9:51 p.m. — Caller from the Armory Street apartment building requests an officer to assist him as he advises they have a water problem in the building and one of the tenants is not cooperating; officers sent, but no action required.

Orange, Dec. 5

11:38 a.m. — Caller from Pinecrest on East River Street reports a man yelling for help; cruisers are tied up on a medical call; state police responded to the location.

4:30 p.m. — Request from Adult Protective Services to check on a man on East River Street who didn’t answer the door for Meals on Wheels earlier today; officer located the man in his apartment, and all was OK.

5:50 p.m. — Walk-in to the station reports her friend found what they believe to be animal bones by the train tracks off of East Main Street extension; officers checked and confirmed it appeared to be animal bones.

8:35 p.m. — Athol Police Department requesting a K-9 unit for a drug sniff at a vehicle on Pierce Street in Athol, assistance was provided.

9:15 p.m. — Reporting person calling from North Main Street looking for assistance getting into his house from the car as he injured his leg earlier; officer assisted Orange Ambulance with getting the reporting person into his house.

Greenfield, Dec. 6

1:09 a.m. — Malicious destruction of property involved at the Town Common from where a report came in that the baby Jesus was being stolen, along with another statue; reporting person also reports a knocked over statue; officer found that the statue out of its place caused significant damage; photos taken and report issued; investigation being followed up in the morning.

5:46 a.m. — Caller from Osgood Street reports her son somehow got into her building and apartment, and he isn’t welcomed; while on the phone the reporting person advised her son started to physically attack her boyfriend; caller stated her boyfriend is currently holding down her son to stop him from attacking; the reporting person states no weapons are involved and no need for an ambulance; they are both currently separated; officers on scene advised them of options and he was removed from the building and told that he was unwanted at this location. Report issued.

6:09 a.m. — Hazard reported at Montague City Road and Cheapside Street where a truck driver reports his truck is unable to fit under the railroad bridge; the reporting person says the bridge wasn’t struck, he is just currently blocking traffic while attempting to turn around; officer there and assisted with the truck turning around, and the hazard was removed.

6:15 a.m. — Caller from Osgood Street reports her son has since just returned to her place and keeps ringing the buzzer and asking to come in; the reporting person was advised the police had advised him not to return; officers found him smoking a cigarette outside, and the male volunteered by requesting a courtesy transport to the Franklin Recovery Center on Federal Street, and he was given that transport.

11:07 a.m. — Two people flagged down an officer on Wisdom Way near Wisdom Place, and requesting transport to town as they had to walk all the way to court (on Munson Street) and are tired; the officer gave them the ride.

11:58 a.m. – Caller states he was riding his bike down Davis Street this morning, and lost his wallet; services rendered.

1:44 p.m. — Accident at the Interstate 91 rotary, two cars involved, but no injuries reported. One vehicle had to be towed; a citation/warning was issued.

2:13 p.m. — Disturbance reported on Conway Street and officers responded; found and spoke with both people involved; the son borrowed money, $200, from the mom, and mom wants her money; the son requested the mother to leave the property; she did so upon our request, with no issues, and left.

4:05 p.m. — Walk-in would like an officer to speak with her son about the consequences of stealing; services were rendered.

4:08 p.m. — Walk-in would like an officer about possible stolen jewelry at Clinical Support Options on High Street; officer to investigate.

4:44 p.m. — Clerk from the Circle K Gas Station and store on the Mohawk Trail states a customer came in asking for police to respond for a minor two-car accident; officer found it to be minor damage; the collision occurred in the Circle K parking lot; both operators were advised of options; no injuries were reported.

7:35 p.m. — Caller from Barton Road states her daughter is making suicidal statements at her residences in Greenfield, and dispatch attempted to call the female, but no answer after two rings; contacted Shelburne Control for BOLO, with all information involving this call; then canceled the BOLO as the female has returned home; officers speaking with her, and the reporting person states his fiancé left the house in her vehicle after making severe suicidal statements, and left headed toward Country Club Road and the Bernardston area; she returned while officer was on the scene; it wasn’t as reported; the female left to go for a drive to cool off, and she stated she just needed some time to calm down.

9:14 p.m. — Reporting person states he was just physically assaulted by the involved female, but that she left heading toward Wells Street; while on the phone, she returned, and is now in the bathroom, caller then stated he didn’t want to report any more and hung up; the female then left for the evening, and all were advised of options.

Orange, Dec. 6

9:15 a.m. — Control reports a minor accident on Red Brook Lane, with a parked car being sideswiped; officer determined damage was under $1,000; both operators exchanged information, and will contact their insurance companies.

11:47 a.m. — Catholic Charities requesting a welfare check on a person on Red Brook Lane as she isn’t answering the door; officers found the woman was inside, sleeping, and was all set.

7:17 p.m. — Control advised Asset Protection staff from a business on East Main Street is requesting officers respond because they had counterfeit money during a transaction earlier in the day; this incident is under investigation.

10:10 p.m. — General disturbance reported on Brookside Road from where Control took call that states the tenants in the project have been fighting all day long, and the reporting person said they are slamming things, and screaming. Officers responded, and discussed the situation with those involved; peace was restored.

Greenfield, Dec. 7

4:55 a.m. — Accident reported on Interstate 91, officer and Fire Department sent, found to be a one-car accident, with one elderly female; no injuries; services rendered.

5:16 p.m. — Caller reports she was just pulled over on Wildwood Avenue, and the officer advised her she had a plate light out, and to get it checked, but when she pulled over to check it, there was no light out; an officer spoke to her and confirmed that no Greenfield officer conducted a documented motor vehicle stop within the time frame she referenced; she stated she wasn’t sure it was even a Greenfield officer, and the officer speaking with her referenced her to the state police and Shelburne Control.

5:56 a.m. — Disturbance on Chapman Street where the caller is an anonymous female who advises the female that lives in the second-floor apartment has two young kids, one 2 years old, and second one is 5 years old, and the female has been swearing and there have been people in and out of the apartment all night; officers found no answer at the door, and all was quiet on arrival.

10:48 a.m. — Overdose reported on Franklin Street from where police were requested to check on a person; officers and Medcare on the scene and the female was transported due to intoxication and medications.

11:33 a.m. — Hit-and-run reported at the Freedom Credit Union on Main Street where the caller says she didn’t witness the accident, but there is yellow paint transfer on her vehicle. Officer investigating.
