MONTAGUE — A vehicle struck and snapped a utility pole in Montague on Sunday evening, causing no immediate outages while crews worked to replace the pole before snowy conditions hit the area.
Capt. Larry Peters of Montague Center Fire Department, said it was a single-occupant accident where the woman driving the vehicle was transported to the hospital. Her condition was unknown on Sunday afternoon.
He said they secured the scene and Eversource technicians were on scene, working to repair the pole. Peters estimated the car’s damage at several thousand dollars.
