I just read the following astonishing paragraph in today’s paper:
Gov. Charlie Baker says he’s spoken with Donald Trump and he doesn’t believe the president-elect will try to punish Massachusetts for supporting rival Hillary Clinton in the presidential election.
Wait, WHAT?! I knew I awoke in a parallel reality on Nov. 9, but I never dreamed we were so far down the rabbit hole that we would be discussing with a straight face whether or not a group of people would be “punished” for how they voted in an election.
Is this what it means to make America great again? Count me out.
