GREENFIELD — Police arrested a man after several cars were vandalized in downtown Greenfield late Tuesday night.
According to a police report, Turners Falls resident Jameson Bernarski, 29, was arrested and charged with vandalizing four cars at Wilson’s Department Store and the Art’s Block around 11:45 p.m.
The report relates that police “received a report of a male party smashing windows and breaking into vehicles at Wilson’s parking lot.”
The man was described as having “shaggy hair,” throwing a “boulder” through a car window — police found three cars that’d been damaged in the parking lot. Around the same time, another person called in to report a fourth damaged car at the Art’s Block on Main Street.
Bernarski was with an unnamed woman who wasn’t arrested.
