2:10 a.m. — Unwanted person reported at Cumberland Farms on Federal Street where the caller states a male flipped him off, and called him names; the reporting person requested the male to get off the property, and the male told him to call the cops; the male is now outside; officers sent, and the people involved were removed from the store, and a verbal trespass was issued for the remainder of the morning.
3:12 a.m. — Caller from Shelburne Road reports an unwanted person there and states he asked her to leave roughly four hours ago, and she hasn’t done so; the reporting person states there has been no physical altercation at all, only a little verbal between them; officers sent, and found the female left on her own accord; no other issue reported.
1:02 p.m. — Trespassing reported at Big Y Foods on Mohawk Trail, but changed to the Circle K gas station and store, and then to the redemption center beside Big Y; officer caught up with the male at the gas station and dispatch confirmed two positive warrants; arrested was Timothy N. Gurley, 32, listed as homeless, of Greenfield, on the two warrants.
1:17 p.m. — Report of an accident at the Interstate 91 rotary, two cars involved, a rear-end accident, but no injuries; one vehicle was traveling east on the west side of the rotary, and stopped for traffic to enter the rotary; the vehicle then started to go into the rotary, and then stopped abruptly; at this time the vehicle that was directly behind the leading vehicle, crashed into the leading vehicle that had stopped; minor surface scratches observed to the rear of one vehicle, and no damage to the trailing vehicle.
2:28 p.m. — Accident reported at the Route 2 off ramp at Bernardston Road, a single-car accident, but no injury; officer investigating.
7:18 p.m. — Caller from Wells Street requests officer check the welfare of a person at this residence; officer spoke with the female involved and she reports not wanting to go to the hospital, just feels a little under the weather.
11:56 p.m. — Accident reported at Cheapside Bridge and Cheapside Street; the caller says a tractor-trailer is stuck under the bridge, and the caller says she heard metal scraping, and something hit the bridge; she also states there are vehicles currently turning around now; Fire Department on the scene with an officer there; fire command reports the truck struck the bridge, but no visible damage; the railroad was contacted and will send an inspector; minor damage to the truck, and they are in the process of backing up the truck, and will be clearing shortly; minor damage to the top of the trailer.
8:53 a.m. — Report of a male who is threatening another person with part of a bicycle (pipe-looking object possibly a part of the frame) the male is known and given to police, and says he is 23 years old, and was last seen with black windbreaker or hooded sweatshirt. Officer located the male subject at Fifth and K streets; the two have been separated and advised of their options.
12:25p.m. — Accident reported on Rastallis Street at Montague Machine, and possibly a hit and run that occurred sometime between this past Wednesday and today; report taken. A female then came to the Police Department reporting she did strike a vehicle in the parking lot next to the DPW last night; the female stated she doesn’t like the dark so she didn’t get out to check the damage and didn’t report the accident; she states she returned to the accident site today and obtained the license plate of the vehicle she struck, which matched the vehicle from the reported hit and run. Officer was advised and he attempted to contact the reporting person/victim back, but had to leave a message.
3 p.m. — Report of a water pipe cover out of place before the General Pierce Bridge on Montague City Road; officer sent, and recovered the pipe, and requested a message be left for the water department. That was done.
6:38 p.m. — Caller from Federal Street in Millers Falls reporting that she struck a deer while approaching the center of Millers Falls; she isn’t hurt but she is afraid to get out of the car; officer investigated.
11:48 a.m. — Person from Prospect Street reporting being harassed by a female who was just released from jail, and the caller states this is an ongoing issue; she was advised to apply for a harassment prevention order, but the caller states they attempted that already, and it was denied; they were advised to go back again and report the new occurrence.
4:20 p.m. — Vandalism reported on Prospect Street where a resident wants to report two unknown boys, between ages 10 and 12 years old, were on her property, and had moved a wagon, a potted plant, and a solar lantern; the person advised that when approached by a neighbor, they fled the area, and dropped a large kitchen knife; she was requesting extra patrols of the area.
5:44 p.m. — Officer on West Main Street to serve a warrant; arrested was Edward Bernard Doucette, 29, of West Main Street, Orange, on the default warrant out of Gardner District Court.
7:40 p.m. — Officer stopped a vehicle at North Main and Winter streets for speeding at 45 mph in a 30 mph zone, defective equipment, (the exhaust), no inspection sticker, (expired 8/15), and displaying an after-market lighting, (a white light bar); the operator attempted to flee from the officer by driving down a side street, and a citation was issued for the listed offenses.
10:45 p.m. — Wal-Mart assistant manager contacted dispatch to report a motor vehicle driving erratically throughout the parking lot; an officer located the vehicle, parked, and occupied by two males, and they admitted to operating the vehicle erratically without a driver’s license; the officer located the owner of the vehicle and returned the keys to him and advised him of the laws concerning allowing unlicensed operation of his vehicle; due to the driving, damage was done to the engine; officer provided the owner with a courtesy transport to his residence.
6:13 a.m. — Alarm company reports a medical alarm was activated at this time on Deerfield Street; call was transferred to Medcare
7:47 a.m. — Caller from Washburn Avenue reports a white tractor-trailer is parked on the street with the hazards flashing, and the reporting person is just concerned about the driver; the vehicle operator was located visiting at an East Cleveland Street location, and was leaving shortly; he was advised, and moved the vehicle.
10:24 a.m. — Disturbance on Main Street where an officer saw a male and female walking east on Main Street and could hear the male yelling at the female from inside the cruiser; in front of Brad’s Place, the male raised his right fist as if he was going to punch the female; the officer ordered the pair to stop and they refused; officer separated them by walking in front of them and attempted to stop the female; they were ordered to stop and they refused; while a deputy sheriff assisting tried to talk with the male, the female said she didn’t want to speak with the officer, and to let her go; unable to identify either person and both refused to speak with the officer; another officer on scene also said the male and female both refused to talk, or file any reports; they were continuing to walk away together.
8:09 a.m. — Caller from Avenue A reported she was being harassed and threatened through a text message by two females; this is in relation to a case she is involved in with one of the girl’s boyfriend; officer spoke with the female and advised her of options.
8:28 a.m. — Illegal dumping report by a caller from Turners Falls Road who says somebody has filled their dumpster with old carpeting; he doesn’t need a police response but just wants it on record in case it happens again.
