Writers’ Lunch: Monday through Thursday, anytime from noon to 2 p.m., bring a laptop or notebook and lunch to the LeVanway Meeting Room for self-directed writing time.
Open for Business: Mondays and Fridays from 2 to 5 p.m., telecommuters and local business people looking for reliable Wi-Fi and a quiet workspace are invited to use the library’s LeVanway Meeting Room.
Reading Relay Read Aloud Storytime: Each Monday from 4 to 5 p.m., Reading Relay Read Aloud storytime for all ages will feature a new theme with puppets, felt board stories and short plays during an hour when everyone reads. Come and listen or take part in the reading. Suggested for readers elementary age and above and, of course, younger listeners.
Mother Goose on the Loose: Tuesdays and Fridays from 10 to 11 a.m., join Kay Lyons at a lap-sit story hour for children age 3 and under, with a grown-up. Kay reads books, leads the group in hand rhymes, and uses puppets to teach animal sounds and other concepts new to the very young. Each session is 45 minutes, with half an hour of structured activity and about fifteen minutes of visiting time.
Young Writers Group: Author and teacher Nell Wright works with young writers ages 10 to 14 on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month during the school year in the Greenfield Room from 4 to 5 p.m. The group is limited to 8 participants and pre-registration is required.
