Greenfield, Nov. 19

6:15 a.m. — A caller at a Forbes Center apartment woke up to find his kitchen windows were broken, having been shot out with BB guns, though nothing appeared to be taken from the apartment.

12:23 p.m. — A caller at Fran’s Designer Clothing, located at 282 Main St., reported a lost purple bag filled with new clothes from the store. A police officer responded and searched the store and Main Street, but was unable to find the bag.

Orange Nov. 19

2:05 a.m. — Caller from Hamilton Avenue reports a second-floor neighbor confronted the third-floor neighbor about being loud; words were exchanged between both people and threats were made; officers made contact with them all, and instructed them to go to bed for the evening.

Greenfield, Nov. 20

10:57 a.m. — Wire reported down on Wisdom Way, and tree on wires; officer and Fire Department responded, and Eversource has a representative on the scene as well.

10:33 p.m. — Report of a shoplifting, at CVS on Federal Street; the caller stated it is on camera; officer to investigate

Montague, Nov. 20

10:45 a.m. — Reporting person from the Third Street Laundry says he just kicked out a homeless person from his business, and the subject has just left the area; the reporting person is aware from previous conversations with officers about his options, to call to have officers remove the subjects, and trespass options, etc., but inquired if there was a quicker solution to the problem; an officer reiterated the reporting person’s options and cautioned the reporting person against removing the subjects himself for his safety; the reporting person was advised to call if the subject or subjects return and officers would respond.

2:34 p.m. — Reporting person from Fourth Street requesting her options regarding a homeless male who has repeatedly broken into a storage shed behind her rental property, to seek shelter; the reporting person has attempted to repair the damage each time, but the male has started resorting to forcing entry to get inside; she advised the male isn’t here at this time. Officer advised her of options.

7:22 p.m. — Caller from East Main Street complaining about a train idling; dispatch contacted the Pan Am Railways office who explains they have a crew scheduled to come in at 1 a.m. for this train.

Orange, Nov. 20

4:34 p.m. — Caller from East Howe Street on a 911 call reports a female there just flipped out and threatened to kill herself and had a knife; another person tried to take it away, and she cut him and bit him; while en route, it was reported the female no longer had the knife and was is a bedroom; when the scene was safe, Orange Fire Department EMS personnel assessed the injury. The female was then taken to the hospital on a Section 12 process.

9:30 p.m. — Reporting person advised a male there is out of control and she is scared, and is hiding in the bathroom; she advises he is unstable and has been drinking and using drugs tonight; officers sent, and the 33-year-old Orange male was subsequently placed into protective custody.

Greenfield, Nov. 21

1:06 a.m. — Burglar alarm at Tractor Supply Company on Newton Street, and showing rear outside; officers located a vehicle in the parking lot and those in the vehicle indicated they are attempting to catch a Pokemon; didn’t see anything near the building, and which was found secure.

3:32 a.m. — Call from the Circle K gas station on the Mohawk Trail reports a white male, roughly 30 to 40 years old, wearing a red jacket and cap, and had an untrimmed beard, walked into the store and stole two flying drones and a VR headset for a cell phone; the reporting person was unsure if there was a vehicle, but may have been parked at the Big Y plaza; officer found that the drones had price tags of $59.99 each. Unable to locate possible suspect in area of the Big Y parking lot, and store manager will be in about 5:30 a.m., to check on video surveillance.

9:17 a.m. — Request that police check the welfare of a person in a vehicle parked in front of 400 Main Street; officer spoke with the person involved, and she is just having a bad day, and refused any help.

10:01 a.m. — Officers making stops at Norwood Street location, and then at Baystate Franklin Medical Center, to serve a warrant of apprehension, but they then found the male at an Allen Street location, from where the person was then transported directly to court.

3:01 p.m. — Illegal dumping reported at Kimball Drive, (the former trailer park) where the caller says a large pile of old fencing, tarps, and miscellaneous items have been dumped there, and it appears to be for a bonfire possibly; officer to check.

3:03 p.m. — Disturbance reported at a Union Street residence where the caller states there is some sort of issue between a male and female, and they are both outside, and it may be a custody issue; the male was trying to visit his daughter, when her mother asked him to leave, and the two got into a verbal argument; nothing physical occurred; the people involved separated, and the mother says the male requested to see his children and then left before officers arrived; no further action at this time.

4:07 p.m. — Larceny reported at St. James Church at Federal and Church streets where the caller says her purse was possibly stolen from her workplace there; officer investigating; result not listed in the log..

4:57 p.m. — Accident with injury reported at Davis and Pleasant streets where the first caller says it was a vehicle versus a bicyclist, with unknown injuries; Medcare and Fire Department contacted, and en route; second caller reports the patient is standing, but was thrown from his bicycle; Medcare on scene; under investigation.

5:32 p.m. — Walk-in reports he may have struck another vehicle with his mirror on his vehicle as he was traveling on Chapman Street, and says he heard a bang, and when he stopped in the Rite Aid parking lot, his side view mirror was gone from his vehicle; he stated he did drive back down Chapman Street, but didn’t see a damaged vehicle that may have been involved; situation investigated.

8:30 p.m. — Disturbance reported at Franklin Recovery Center and Behavioral Health on Federal Street, where the caller says there is a male in the waiting area causing a problem, highly intoxicated; officer requested Medcare for the male with intoxication, and possibly on acid; officer rode with the ambulance where the male was intoxicated, and appears to be on acid as well; and he was taken to Baystate Franklin Medical Center by Medcare.

8:58 p.m. — Unwanted person reported in area of Stop & Shop on French King Highway where the reporting person requested an officer to remove two people from his campsite near Stop & Shop; officer spoke to this person and he advised the person received a message have left the site; he was advised of options.

10:49 p.m. — Unwanted person at the Franklin Recovery Center and Behavioral Health on Federal Street, where the caller says a female that was “administratively discharged,” today, for behavior issue, and is laying in front of the door refusing to leave; officer then there and transporting one to the station; services rendered.

Montague, Nov. 21

8:40 a.m. — Caller from Avenue C reports of incident of using without authority; and said that she gave her son permission to use the vehicle involved yesterday about 2:30 p.m., under the conditions that it be returned by 5 the same day; Officer spoke with the reporting person and advised her of options; a BOLO was then put out for our officers, Shelburne Control, and Greenfield Police, for using the vehicle without permission; at 9:59 a call came in that the subject is in Foster’s Supermarket at this time at the customer service counter. Greenfield Police and one of Montague officers went, and found the subject; the BOLO was canceled, and the vehicle was secured on Columbus Avenue in Greenfield; keys are being held at Greenfield for safe keeping; the reporting person was advised and will make the necessary arrangements.

Greenfield, Nov. 22

6:32 a.m. — A reporting person states that she went out to get her vehicle at Greenfield Community College parking lot, and found a flat tire; her son helped her change the tire and get the vehicle home; this morning the reporting person looked at the tire, and believes it may have been purposefully punctured; the reporting person states that someone in his wife’s class has been bothering her, and he was in the class last night; the reporting person was advised to call Greenfield Community College Security staff to report the incident.
