Some time ago, a person wrote to you claiming your paper was liberally biased. You answered that was only the editorial page. And while it’s obvious — when Trump is compared to Hitler and Mussolini, while Hillary is compared to Joan of Arc — that the editorial page is a lost cause, I challenge the rest of your paper. I have been taking notes on this for months, and the choice, placement, and headlines of articles make you very obviously far left.
You are not alone in this. Studies have shown that the media is no longer just reporting the news, but trying more and more to influence opinions. You have complained before about Fox News being biased, yet you do the same things. And speaking of hypocrisy, the left rants about Trump spewing hate and fear, then they tell us to hate and fear Trump! I challenge The Recorder to do a better job of reporting fairly and equally. We are a country divided, and news outlets like yours continue to divide us more. We may have no hope for our colleges (and even high schools and elementary schools) to put forth a fair agenda, but our news sources have the power to control much more than that. How about we celebrate another election cycle, and pray our new president is successful in leading our country.
