Some are speaking of the election outcome as the failure of democracy, but this conclusion is too negative and pessimistic. Democracy is still the best form of governing and uniting a divided people who don’t easily work together, yet want to  be free and at peace.

And let’s not forget that, without the obstruction of the Electoral College, Hillary Clinton would have been elected President by the popular vote, which set her ahead of Trump by 1½ percent. Clinton, and not Trump, was the people’s choice. Democracy vindicated!
