At a time when people are feeling a little anxious, weary or, simply, fatigued, Eveline MacDougal, founder of the Amandla Chorus, said the chorus will open Tuesday night’s rehearsal to the public.
“People can just come and sit and relax, regarless of their political affiliation,” she said. “It’s has been a long couple of years.
MacDougal said Amandla thought an open rehearsal-informal concert would be a good way to bring the community together.
The rehearsal will be held at Temple Israel, 27 Pierce St. in Greenfield on Tuesday, Nov. 22, from 7 to 8 p.m. The chorus will sing songs of healing, courage and hope for people of all ages.
There will not be any speeches. The rehearsal is free and open to all.
“I’ve received requests for Amandla to offer songs in this difficult time,” said MacDougal. “This is a non-partisan, healing event.”
