Orange, Nov. 5

4:01 p.m. — Control reports a call from the reporting person on Royalston Road, who is irate about ATVs going up and down the road again, and that it has been going on for a week now; the reporting person hung up on dispatch, and said she will call the chief in the morning; officer responded and checked the area on foot, two dirt bikes were confronted, and under investigation, with more to follow.

6:45 p.m. — Loud noise disturbance reported from Control who advises a call from East River Street regarding hearing a loud bang from the roof area; the resident went outside to check, and didn’t see anything, but a neighbor also heard the bang, and they request cruisers to check the area; that was done, but no issues found.

7:40 p.m. — Assault reported on East Main Street by a woman who flagged down an officer and who said she was just driving on East Main and almost struck a male and female crossing the street in dark clothing; she stopped to apologize and speak with them, and the male spit in her face; both units checked the area and spoke with resident, but with negative contact.

Greenfield, Nov. 6

1:32 a.m. — Accident at Adams Road and Lovers Lane where a single car hit wet leaves that, he said, caused his vehicle to crash into the tree there; but no injuries reported. The reporting person says the airbag deployed and nobody was injured; the reporting person denied ambulance for his face being sore; he also stated that the vehicle was leaking fluids, but unknown what kind they were; the reporting person states the fluids are on the grass; however the officer requested Medcare for two males with facial injuries, and the vehicle had to be towed; officer reports a male was taken into custody; wrecker is on the scene; the car had three occupants, the operator arrested was Jordan Riley Tetreault, 19, of Mary Potter Lane, Greenfield, charged with operating under the influence of liquor, operating under the influence of drugs, operating recklessly so as to endanger, speeding, marked lanes violation, and operating under the influence of liquor with BAC .08 or greater.

3:26 a.m. — Alarm sounding from a residence on Davis Street; zone is garage door; contact made with home owner who confirmed all was OK there, it was a false alarm; the home owner went out to smoke and forgot about the alarm.

9:30 a.m. — Unwanted person reported at the Green Fields Market on Main Street; officers sent, but the subject left before the officers arrived.

11:54 a.m. — Unwanted person at Green Fields Market on Main Street again, and this time the subject left without incident upon the officer’s arrival.

11:56 a.m. — Burglar alarm at the high school off Barr Avenue, officers sent, and the building was checked with a key holder.

12:25 p.m. — CVS Pharmacy reporting a white male, 25-30 years old, asking to see what specific narcotics look like, and if the pharmacy carries them; when the staff refused to show the pills, the person became irate, and was screaming and swearing at the staff; the subject was moved along at the manager’s request; the subject’s information was passed along to the staff for trespassing notice.

12:42 p.m. — Disturbance on Wells Street where the caller says two involved people are throwing things and arguing; officers sent and found it to be a continuation of clean up from last night’s argument; all OK with both people now.

1:39 p.m. — Accident reported at Home Depot on the Mohawk Trail where the caller says there were no injuries; found that a Vermont vehicle was parked, when a Massachusetts IBEX pulled in to park and the Vermont registered vehicle door opened into the side of the Mass. vehicle; door damaged to the Vermont vehicle. Officer assisted with information exchange.

5:06 p.m. — Hazard reported on Wisdom Way where a tree limb came down and had fallen and is blocking part of the roadway; officer sent and services rendered.

5:46 p.m. — Caller from Shattuck and Cross streets reports about 10 to 15 minutes ago she was stopped at the stop sign there, and a tall skinny male wearing a red hoodie, with the hood up, and a painted clown mask on, approached the side of her vehicle, and stared at her until she drove away; officer checked but unable to locate the male.

10:50 p.m. — Disturbance on Wells Street where the reporting person states she can hear her neighbors in the second-floor apartment yelling and screaming there, and she states it is also a lot of banging and it has been going on for hours; officer arrived only to be told no disturbance, and she is the only one in the apartment; the caller then called back and confirmed that the noise was coming from the second floor and she states the male left just after the reporting person had originally called, the reporting person wonders if they may have a scanner, saying she notices it quiets down after she calls; she states she can still hear the female upstairs and it shakes their ceiling fan; the female was in the apartment by herself, and the male had left prior to officer’s arrival.

Orange, Nov. 6

12:33 a.m. — A 911 call from East River Street reports an out-of-control female attacking patrons and vandalizing property; the female was located down the roadway, and after an investigation, she was placed in custody; arrested was Gwenn Mallet, 47, of Jasmine Road, Orange, charged with three counts of vandalizing property, on a window, a neon sign and a door.

2:15 p.m. — Control advised of a two-car accident at South Main and East River streets; no further information on the log.

3:39 p.m. — Caller requests that an officer check on the welfare of a person on Red Brook Lane, who isn’t answering the door for a Catholic Charities worker; the call was cancelled while en route, as the workers found the woman inside sleeping.

9:28 p.m. — Control reports a reporting person would like a return call to East River Street location, as when she was at the house there earlier, she had $50, and 18 Suboxone strips stolen from her purse; on call back, an officer spoke with the reporting person’s mother, who said the reporting person was just looking to have this on record.

Greenfield, Nov. 7

3:45 a.m. — Caller reporting she can’t breathe and was punched in the chest by a male outside the Chapman Street location; she says it was about an hour ago when a tall white male had punched her while she was outside; she is currently in her apartment and she is calling for medical attention due to pain in her chest and difficulty breathing; officers arrived and found she was highly intoxicated and unable to make coherent response when asked about the incident; she was taken to Baystate Franklin Medical Center by Medcare; no injuries visible on her person, but was transported to the hospital.

11:21a.m. — Larceny reported at Cumberland Farms on Federal Street; the call came from the ARC office on Summer Street to report that he lost his wallet at Cumberland Farms and then someone stole it; under investigation.

Orange, Nov. 7

5 a.m. — The manager of Honey Farms on Daniel Shays Highway, requested that a well-being check be made on a male that is oddly parked at the gas pump, and sleeping in his vehicle; an officer made contact with the male who advised that he is being harassed by the police, the male began recording with his cell phone, and continued to berate the officer; the male eventually left the property, after the officer wouldn’t provide the male with the reaction that he wanted.

12:22 p.m. — Control got a call from Eagleville Road, who states a male is smashing her car; on officer’s arrival both people were already separated and after an investigation it was found the vehicle’s title was in the male’s name, and he was already given permission to destroy the car; the reporting person was advised that since the vehicle isn’t in her name, there is no vandalism charges for destroying one’s own property.

Greenfield, Nov. 8

9:57 a.m. — Report of scary clown on Chapman Street near Pierce Street; officer checked all of Chapman Street and nothing located; but did locate a resident in his yard on Pierce Street wearing an Uncle Sam hat and holding a “Vote for Trump,” sign; no mask and not dressed as a clown; officer observed the resident for a couple of minutes, and the man was just waving to people as they drove by.

10:19 a.m. — Caller from area of Federal and Smith streets, two vehicles involved, but no injuries reported. Officer sent, and found a minor accident, with a citation issued to one operator.

10:32 a.m. — Minor accident reported at Elm and Colrain streets, but no injuries reported. Officer sent, and found it was gone on arrival.

10:48 a.m. — Accident at the Interstate 91 rotary, two vehicles, and the caller says no injuries; officers responded and assisted.

3:28 p.m. — Caller on the 911 line requesting contact for a woman’s health center in Greenfield; the caller was crying, and then was agitated, and seemed upset, but wouldn’t elaborate on what her issue might be; officer found the intoxicated female was upset with her living situation; it was discussed with officers and she was advised of options.

7:47 p.m. — Despondent person reported on Freeman Drive where officers located a female, and found too that she was safe; situation not as reported, no meds taken, and nothing needed.

Montague, Nov. 8

10:14 a.m. — Reporting person calling on behalf of her father says that two young male youths have been defecating in the bushes at her father’s residence on Montague Street; toilet paper present as well. The reporting person came to the station and spoke with an officer, and she was advised of options.

11:59 p.m. — Loud noise disturbance reported from an Avenue A apartment building where the reporting person states that his neighbor in an apartment is saying, “murder,” into a megaphone, and it is disturbing him; officers couldn’t get anyone to answer to the door to the apartment, and spoke to a person at another apartment, who hadn’t heard anything; just prior to the officer’s arrival, the reporting person claims he heard some beta waves.

Orange, Nov. 8

4 p.m. — Neighborhood disturbance on East Main Street where the caller reports a verbal altercation at the apartment complex there, and officers may be needed: officers made contact with those involved and discussed the situation; they were advised to stop arguing for the evening.

7 p.m. — Athol requested assistance with a report of domestic disturbance; Athol advised that while attempting to conduct a motor vehicle stop on Riverbend Street in Athol, a female involved jumped out of the vehicle and fled the scene; officers questioned people involved and contained the area.

6 p.m. — Athol again requesting help with a domestic disturbance this one on Green Street in Athol; officers separated those involved, and peace was restored.

Greenfield, Nov. 9

11:45 a.m. — Hazardous condition on Eunice Williams Drive where a tractor-trailer unit went down this road, and then realized he couldn’t cross the covered bridge, and is now attempting to back up the road; officer assisted in blocking traffic so the driver could back out, and then assisted him in getting to Interstate 91.

1:26 p.m. — Threat reported on Congress Street where the reporting person replied to a friend’s post on Facebook, and a friend of the friend responded, and became hostile, then posting that the reporting person should private message him, and if he locates the reporting person, he would grab him by the throat; the reporting person states he blocked the individual immediately and doesn’t know the person; he would like this logged.

4:54 p.m. — Caller from the CVS parking lot where the reporting person says her vehicle was struck while she was in the store, but the vehicle that left is possibly a silver sedan, with unknown plate; left out the rear entrance; officer found no suspect vehicle, and no damage found to the parked vehicle.

6:53 p.m. — Caller from Oak Courts is an elderly male who called 911, and seemed confused, no one home with him; he was advised to stay on the phone, but he disconnected; on call back dispatch tried to stay connected again, but he then hung up; hint of dementia here; officer then arrived and spoke with the male, about his concerns about youths in the housing complex; nothing further needed.

10:36 p.m. — Hazard reported on King Road, possibly at Gill Road where the reporting person says a tree is hanging on wires in the area, but no arcing. Officer reports it is a small dead tree limb on a primary line; officer and fire department there and say it’s in the vicinity of Wunsch Farm Road; Eversource was advised; ETA is 50 minutes.

11:46 p.m. — Suspicious activity reported in area of Lodge Tire on French King Highway where the caller says two males on foot were heading to the left side of the building and advises it is dark on that side; only description was that one was wearing a back pack and had a dirty red jacket, and one was wearing chino pants; officer advises there is an access road out behind Lodge Tire and will be checking it with another officer, and state police advise they just heard what sounded like a female screaming. Officers checking.

Montague, Nov. 9

8:23 a.m. — Caller reporting a problem in the unpaved section of East Chestnut Hill Road, and says while walking her dog in the unpaved section, she heard four gun shots, and believes they were from a shotgun; the reporting person was concerned that it was not yet shotgun season; officer confirmed with the EPO (Environmental Police) that quail, pheasant and other birds are in season, and will not be responding. Attempt to call back multiple times to advise the reporting person, but the landline was busy each time, and unable to make contact.

12:35 p.m. — Report of a man dressed in camo gear, holding a rifle sitting about 30 yards off the bike path; the reporting person advised she crossed Montague City Road toward the Masonic Lodge, took a right onto the bike path and the man was on the stretch between Masonic Avenue and Greenfield Road, about 100- yards away from the Masonic Lodge, and about 30 yards off the bike path into the woods; but unknown age or race, and the man had a hat or other similar covering over his face; officer and the Environmental Police were advised; the Environmental Police Officer called advising this was a gray area, and reiterated that the required distance is of 150 feet from the roadway and 500 feet from a dwelling; officer checked the area, but was unable to locate the male.

Orange, Nov. 9

3:56 p.m. — Request from Catholic Charities to check on a woman on Red Brook Lane, as she isn’t answering the door for a worker from this agency who is there; officer found she was in her apartment, sleeping, and was all set.

4:15 p.m. — General disturbance reported on East River Street from where Control took a call reporting a disturbance that has been an on-going problem; officers spoke with the person and one of them said they were having a verbal argument; one person left to go for a walk to let things settle down.

4:44 p.m. — Athol police is requesting assistance with an overdose on Chestnut Hill Avenue in Athol, as they have no available units at this time to respond; on our officer’s arrival, the Athol Ambulance was on scene and administering treatment; Athol Police then arrived shortly after.

5:79 p.m. — Control took a call from East River Street and the reporting person says there is another disturbance at this location; officer spoke with them again and they said they had another argument; they then agreed to spend the night in separate rooms.

Greenfield, Nov. 10

1:26 a.m. — Traffic stop on Wells Street where the officer stopped a vehicle; tow truck requested; the vehicle was stopped for revoked registration, it was towed and plates were seized.

4:35 a.m. — Winter parking ban notices being distributed on Chapman Street at this time.

6:46 a.m. — Disturbance reported at F. L. Roberts Station on Main Street where the caller says a male in a green jacket and a cap came into the store and was yelling obscenities; she say he does this frequently, and has now left and headed on foot toward Rite Aid; services rendered.

8:35 a.m. — Caller from Family Dollar requests an officer to check on a person at their location on Colrain Road, and said a female appears passed out in a black Toyota Rav 4; officers located the female asleep in her vehicle, and she says she was waiting for Family Dollar to open; all is OK.

9:30 a.m. — Accident reported at the CVS parking lot, on Federal Street, two vehicles involved, but no injuries reported. A citation/warning was issued.

Orange, Nov. 10

5:44 a.m. — Clerk from the Sunoco station on Daniel Shays Highway, reports a vehicle is parked in front of the dumpster, and the driver is slumped over; on officer’s arrival located a female asleep in the vehicle; after identifying the person, the officer determined she was intoxicated and unable to operate the vehicle; she was placed in protective custody, and transported to the station; the vehicle was left there at Sunoco so the 29-year-old female can come and get it later.
