Jesse Phelps threw a pair of touchdown passes Sunday to help Sirum Auto Body deny Between the Uprights a perfect regular season in a 14-12 Sirum’s upset victory in Greenfield Men’s Touch Football action in Greenfield.
Adam Wroblewski caught a touchdown and the game-deciding pair of extra points in the win, and Pat Demech also caught a touchdown pass. Mark Sirum led the Sirum’s offensive line in the win.
Pat Viencek hit Ben Banash with one touchdown and threw another to Cody Underwood in the loss. Alex Bourassa played well for BTU.
The postseason begins this Sunday
• Elsewhere, Nick Aldrich found Tyson Dowdy on a 9-yard touchdown strike in overtime to help Rocketfusion.com to a 12-6 win over Platform Titans.
The touchdown was the second of the day for Dowdy and helped Rocketfusion.com move into fourth place. CJ Peterson and Wa Perry each had interceptions in the win.
Viset Keo threw a touchdown pass to Eric Hernandez in the loss, while Hernandez, Steve Duffy and Billy Cruz each had interceptions.
• In other action, Jon Hall fired three touchdown passes to help Travel Kuz to a 25-0 win over Shelburne Falls Bowling Alley.
Jeremy Schneider, Chris Dodge and John Fox each caught a touchdown in the win, and Sunny Lucas registered three sacks in a dominant defensive performance. Fox also caught an extra point.
Chris Hart, Austin Fuller and George Davis played well in the loss.
• Finally, Wa Perry returned an interception for a touchdown and added an extra point to help the Green Dragons to a 7-6 win over Johnson Controls.
Brad Barrett caught a 9-yard touchdown pass from James Miller in the loss, and Dan Boyden and Sam Parker played well.
FCHA Mites win
Chase Zraunig scored six times Saturday and Luca Siano had two goals and three assists but the Franklin County Hockey Association Mite Green team suffered a 16-11 loss to the Springfield Capitals in a Greater Springfield League game.
Carter Schloat had two goals and an assist, Jack Laurie scored once, and Cordelia Rhoades and Jahleel Perry each had an assist. Hayden Ardrey made 22 saves.
Senior hockey
Collins-Moylan Skating Arena in Greenfield will be offering Senior Public Hockey for players 50 and over on Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
The first session will begin today. Cost is $10 per player.

Brianna Jobst scored 11 points Sunday and the Panthers defeated Riff’s North of Turners Falls, 26-16, in a DRIVE Hoops Girls’ Basketball League game at Stoneleigh-Burnham School in Greenfield.
Kylie Fleming scored 6 points in the loss.
• Elsewhere, Kelsie Jacobs erupted for 43 points to help Stoneleigh-Burnham to a 50-17 win over Brattleboro.
Gabby Carpenter scored 6 points in the loss.
• In other action, Julianne Sparks scored 16 points to help VT Academy to a 49-38 win over Hinsdale.
Skylar Leclair scored 11 points in the loss.
• Finally, Sam Hunter’s 11 points paced Keene to a 47-43 win over Monadnock.

DRIVE Boys’ Varsity
Tyler Martin and Tucker Llewelyn each scored 19 points Sunday to help Whitney Fence to a 65-42 win over Brattleboro in a DRIVE Hoops Boys’ Varsity Basketball League game at Pioneer Valley Regional School in Northfield.
Eli Lombardi led all scorers with 21 points in the loss.
• Meanwhile, Brandyn Robinson netted 14 points and Frontier bested Smith Voke, 53-18.
Drew Brida led Smith Voke with 7 points.
• In other action, Connor Joy poured in 35 points to help Greenfield to a 59-46 win over the Warriors.
Torsten Sloan-Anderson scored 17 points for Mohawk, and Matt Finck added 11.
• At Hopkins Academy, Sam’i Roe scored 30 points and Jon Morrison added 13 as Hadley crushed Noho 2, 82-34.
Kieren Thursten netted 12 points for Noho 2.

DRIVE Boys’ MS
Troy Emond scored 18 points and Jared Hubbard added 10 to lead Pioneer to a 42-35 win over FC United in a DRIVE Hoops Boys’ Middle School Basketball League game Sunday in Northfield.
Sam Gibson poured in 16 points for FC United.
• Elsewhere, Greg Fitzgerald scored 20 points to help the Raptors to a 36-26 win over Frontier.
Ethan Machon led Frontier with 13 points.

Deerfield Rec registrations
Registrations for the Deerfield Recreational Basketball teams will take place on two upcoming dates.
The first registration period will take place tonight from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the South Deerfield Town Hall. Anyone in grades 1 through 9 can register at this time.
A second registration period will take place on Dec. 6 from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Deerfield Recreation Office and this will be for students in grades 1 and 2, as well as 7 through 9.
Deerfield is offering three teams, all of which are coed. The team for kids in grades 1 and 2 is instructional and costs $30, while teams for players in grades 3 through 6, and 7 through 9, are both involved in league play and cost $50.
Worcester State clinics
Worcester State University is holding a number of upcoming baseball clinics:
• The inaugural Holiday Fun Baseball Clinic will take place Dec. 27 through 29 in the multi-purpose gymnasium at the school.
The clinic is open to players ages 8 through 18 and runs from 9 a.m. until noon each day. Players can sign up for one or all three days. Cost is $30 per day or $75 for all three.
• The 10th annual Friday Night Baseball School will run on six Friday nights beginning Jan. 27.
The clinic is open to players in grades 1 through 12 and takes place in the multi-purpose gym. Hitting runs from 6 to7 p.m., and pitching runs from 7 to 8 p.m. Cost is $100 per session or $165 for both.
• The 22nd annual Hitting Clinic will run from Feb. 20 through 22 in the multi-purpose gym.
The clinic is open to players ages 8 through 18 and runs from 9 a.m. until noon each day. Cost is $40 per day or $100 for all three. It is the longest continuous running clinic in New England.

There will be a mandatory meeting for Turners Falls High School hockey parents and players Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Turners Falls High School cafeteria.
Girls on the run
The Girls on the Run 5K will take place on Nov. 20 at 10 a.m. at the Smith College athletic fields in Northampton.
People can register online at www.girlsontherunwesternma.org or on the day of the event beginning at 8 a.m. The first 400 registered runners will get a T-shirt.
