1:50 p.m. — Accident at the Interstate 91 rotary, but no injuries reported; officer found very minor fender bender, information exchanged.

2:24 p.m. — Accident at Federal and Lincoln Street; two vehicles involved, one vehicle towed, but no injuries reported.

2:25 p.m. — Suspicious activity reported at or near the Franklin County Fairgrounds, on Wisdom Way, where the reporting person states a black Honda is in the area, with three men inside, stopping multiple times, and walking through the woods; officer searched the area, and spoke with fairground workers, and they didn’t witness any suspicious vehicle. Gone on arrival.

3:55 p.m. — Hazard reported at Davis and Silver streets from where the DPW got a direct call reporting a sign down at this location, and unsure if it is a stop sign, or some other sign; Officer found it to be a stop sign; he was able to stand it back up, and advised it can wait till tomorrow; DPW was advised.

6:20 p.m. — Hazard reported at Factory Hollow on the French King Highway from where the Fire Department reported a vehicle and trailer with jet ski that had fallen off into traffic; officers assisted the Fire Department, and the vehicle was moved along.

6:22 p.m. – Officer serving warrant to a male who came to the station, arrested was Derek Wills, 26, of G Street, Turners Falls, on two court warrants.

8:33 p.m. — Despondent person found at Federal Street Cemetery; the reporting person had reported her brother sent her a Facebook message making veiled suicidal statement saying goodbye to various family member and making reference to, “can’t do it anymore, tired of the world and tired of my mental illness;” police units directed to cemetery; while the partner was on the line, the involved male called 911, with slurred speech, and admits to needing help, taking meds; a brother- in-law found the male on scene, and took the phone, the male had taken Xanax and Trazedone; the brother-in-law remained on the line until Medcare arrived; officers assisted there, and the male was taken to Baystate Franklin Medical Center.

Montague, Oct. 24

2:12 p.m. — Caller from Millers Falls and West Mineral roads, reports there is a male out in the front yard of the caller’s location, naked, showing himself to passing cars; the male may have left on foot toward the old creeme location; officer checked the area, but unable to locate the male..

2:56 p.m. — Caller reports from Avenue A that she thinks someone may have dumped a couch in the front yard of her neighbor across the street; officer was advised.

Orange, Oct. 24

7:53 a.m. — A detail officer took a report of a tree on wires on South Main Street; patrol officer located the tree on power lines near Johnson Road; dispatch to notify National Grid.

10:34 a.m. — Caller from New Athol Road reports he was driving near the Time Warner Cable location and a fox ran out from the side of the road, and hit his car; there doesn’t appear to be any damage to the car; the caller couldn’t find the fox anywhere; he wanted it on record.

2:41 p.m. — Caller from Pleasant Street reports between 1 and 4 p.m. yesterday, her prescription of Subuteck was stolen from her house; there was about 10 tablets, 8mg each; she wanted it on record so she can get a refill, nothing else was stolen.

9:26 p.m. — Athol Police requested a K-9 for a drug sniff of a vehicle on Tunnel Street; K-9 sent, and drug paraphernalia was located inside of the vehicle, and items were seized by Athol Police.

Greenfield, Oct. 25

12:09 a.m. — Officer found a male in a Volkswagen Jetta at Hillside Park playing Pokémon; the operator was advised of the town bylaw regarding hours for town parks, and moved along.

1:10 a.m.— Traffic stop at Federal and Pond streets; investigation led to arrest of Daniel Pantoja-Thompson, 25, of Woodleigh Avenue, Greenfield, on a warrant.

4:35 a.m. — Despondent person reported at Cumberland Farms on Federal Street where the caller says a male, a regular customer, was making coffee, when he seemed to be agitated, and threw his coffee on the floor; he then sat down, and began taking his clothing off; the reporting person stated the male was making statements that he, “didn’t feel safe with himself.” Medcare requested and then on scene with officers; the known person was voluntarily transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center for evaluation; his vehicle is temporarily parked at the Cumberland Farms lot till further notice.

9:03 a.m. — Larceny reported at the National Guard Armory on Hope Street where the caller reports tools were stolen from that location; a small yellow tool bag was left behind the exterior air conditioner unit overnight; it contained an assortment of hand tools of about a $200 value; under investigation.

11:09 a.m. — Disturbance at Cumberland Farms on Federal Street where the reporting person states a woman inside was pushing her child and yelling, and also had an altercation with another customer; officers sent and spoke with the reporting person, and the mother of the child; officer also viewed the store security video, and showed the child was unruly in the store, and was corrected by the mother; not as reported.

1:03 p.m. — Caller from the Mattress Outlet on Main Street from where a reporting person states a female is harassing people on the street, causing a scene, and yelling; officers investigating.

3:09 p.m. — Disturbance on Barton Road where the caller says a male, that her parents have a restraining order on, is trying to kick in the door; an active harassment protective order is in effect between her parents and the male; her father is outside and she doesn’t have a visual; at one point she heard someone yell about pistol whipping; dispatch advised the caller to get into the room with her daughter and lock the door, and kept her on line as officers arrived; she found her father in the garage, and he was struck by the male; ambulance to respond; Medcare advising a two or three minute ETA; officers arrested Nathaniel J. Purves, 37, of Woodleigh Avenue, Greenfield, charged with breaking and entering in the daytime with intent to commit a felony in order to put a person in fear; violation of harassment prevention order, assault and battery on a person 60 or over or disabled, with injury, and intimidating a witness.

3:40 p.m. — Larceny reported at Goly’s Garage/Byrne Towing on Federal Street, where the reporting person says here are several items missing from his vehicle after his vehicle was towed last night; one white Galaxy Note 4, a purple car charger, a white USB port for the car charger, and a black charger; the reporting person advised this was not listed on the property list he signed at the Police Department.

8:27 p.m. — Larceny on Hope Street where the reporting person says her bike was stolen from her home. A green Schwin mountain bike, with yellow and pink writing on it, and stolen from the YMCA between 4 and 6 p.m.; report taken.

9:10 p.m. — Unwanted person at McDonald’s on the Mohawk Trail where an employee reports there are two people, male and female, have been in the restaurant for seven-plus hours, and they haven’t purchased anything; the employee asked them to either purchase something, or leave, and they are still in the restaurant near the restrooms; officers located the two known people and moved them along, but shortly, after an investigation, the male involved, was taken into custody; arrested was Desmond Wheeler, 20, listed as homeless of Greenfield, for shoplifting, and being a person under 21 in possession of liquor.

Montague Oct. 25

2:11 p.m. — Caller from Farren Care Center on Montague City Road reports that while at work yesterday, someone stole $125 cash out of her wallet, which was in her office; the office wasn’t locked; the time frame would be estimated to be between 4 and 4:50 p.m. yesterday; she didn’t discover the theft until yesterday evening. Officer to investigate.

2:29 p.m. — Accident at the Franklin County Technical School on Industrial Boulevard, where the officer there requested a number for an accident that happened on school grounds when a landscaping equipment struck a parked vehicle; it was reported to the officer today, and confirmed by surveillance; still attempting to ascertain the operator of the landscaping equipment.

7:16 p.m. — Accident reported at Millers Falls and Mineral roads; Turners A1 unit calling in with a car versus a deer, but there is no car on the scene just a bumper; officer was able to get a license plate off the bumper that was left in the middle of the road; the deer was taken by the Rod and Gun Club; officers searched the area and located the vehicle on Lake Pleasant Road where the vehicle, turned on his lights, and the female driver stated she didn’t have her phone, and she drove to the Ramblers Club location to speak to her boyfriend.

Greenfield, Oct. 26

12:27 a.m. — Officers on Armory Street apartments to serve a warrant; arrested was Susan Johnson, 46, of Armory Street, Greenfield, on the warrant.

9:14 a.m. — Reporting person states an operator is driving on both sides of Pierce Street, and is following them down the street; the vehicle was found to be with a person picking through recycling on both sides, and the operator had a verbal argument with a DPW employee; officers spoke with the reporting person who said the vehicle operator was picking through the recycling on the tree belt; he was instructed by his boss to call the police when this is observed, because it is a theft from the town/city; the reporting person indicated he advised the operator not to take recycling, which led to a verbal argument; the vehicle was last seen on Chapman Street, but wasn’t located by the officer. A short while later an officer was approached by the involved male on Main Street, who indicated he had permission to retrieve returnable items for the Food Bank; the officer advised him.

11:35 a.m. — Larceny reported from Leyden Road where the caller says her laptop was stolen from that location; situation investigated.

11:45 a.m. — Disturbance at the Recover Project on Federal Street where the reporting person states a male patient became aggravated and threw a rock through the window, and broke it; he left on foot wearing a black hat, a red jacket, blue jeans, and boots; officers located the male, and arrested was Christopher Jose Garcia, 21, of Park Street, Turners Falls, charged with malicious destruction of property over $250.

11:49 a.m. — Accident at Norwood and Chapman streets; a two-vehicle crash, but no injuries reported. One vehicle sustained major damage, and one operator was cited for failure to use care in starting.

2:10 p.m. — Report of an incident involving a missing person; officer to investigate; not missing, case was solved by the officer.

2:29 p.m. — Larceny reported at Bayberry Court where the caller says her EBT card was stolen, or went missing, and may have been used by a female (named) in Whately; believes it went missing on Oct. 23; the card has been reported to the state as missing. Situation investigated.

4:14 p.m. — Accident reported on Old Albany Road; single vehicle accident, a school bus versus a pole, no injury reported, but EMS requested for evaluation of two students on board; officers and a firefighter responded to the call; utility advising this is up the driveway and isn’t visible from the road; school administrator en route; Medcare on scene; officials are contacting the parents of the children on board; the vehicle backed into a tree causing minor damage to the rear window.

4:37 p.m. — Accident at the Interstate 91 rotary, two vehicles involved, and co-workers insisted on an information exchange. Services rendered.

4:45 p.m. — Report of larceny of a purse on Union Street; with possible male suspect, (name given). She reports her pink wallet with contents, was stolen while she was visiting a friend, and the reporting person believes the friend’s boyfriend may have stolen it; officer took the report.

5:12 p.m. — Unwanted person reported at the Miles Street Hotel apartments where a male is refusing to leave the apartment, and arguing can be heard on the line; officers located both males, who are best friends, and are having a fight; one agreed to go for a walk to cool down.

Montague, Oct. 26

8 a.m. — Caller from area of the railroad tracks in Millers Falls downtown where the caller is complaining about an idling train, and requests another courtesy call to the railroad; call placed to Pan Am Railways, but rang with no answer; dispatch will try back, and made contact with the railroad who advised the train has not been there for a week as alleged, and advised the train arrived last night; there was a problem with the train, and arrangements have already been made for it to be moved, but with an ETA of a few hours.
