Young professionals meet at Clark Art Institute

Ghost stories, costumes, gallery talks and live music will be featured at an evening get-together for young professionals at the Clark Art Institute in Williamston at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27.

Tickets are $25. But if you register by Saturday, Oct. 22, they are $20.

Gallery talks at Clark After Hours include ones on he ghostly image in Pierre-Auguste Renoir’s A Box at the Theater, “The Real Game of Thrones,” and space-themed tankard from 1811, more than 100 years before Sputnik was launched into space.

30 years at Corvair

Pearl Burrington of Charlemont recently celebrated 30 years of service with Clarks Corvair Parts at 400 Mohawk Trail in Shelburne Falls.

She started in 1978 after high school. Upon returning from raising her family, Pearl went to work in the company’s sewing department, where she continues to work..

A luncheon was held in her honor.

The business opened in 1973 and is the world’s largest supplier of Chevrolet Corvair parts.
