Therapy dogs at the library: 20 School St. Bright Spot Therapy Dogs will visit the library Saturday at 1 p.m. to teach families about therapy dogs. Owner Cynthia Hinckley and her extraordinary therapy dog Lily will demonstrate. Free and open to all. 

Iron Chef for Teens: Fall edition. Back by popular demand, the library will host another round of Teen Iron Chef on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Teens can let their creativity run wild as they “cook” their own creation using the secret ingredient, apples. Register at the library.

American Indian music: Craig Harris, author of the new book “Heartbeat, Warble, and the Electric Powwow: American Indian Music” will visit the library Tuesday at 6 p.m. to present an Introduction to American Indian Music. Harris offers a multi-media journey into Indigenous North America’s vibrant soundscape, from the “heartbeat” of intertribal drums and the “warble” of Native flutes. This presentation conjures an aural tapestry in which the powwow drums and end-blown woodwinds resound alongside operatic and symphonic strains and Native-infused jazz, reggae, country music, blues, hip-hop, and electronic dance music. Birds of Prey: 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Great Falls Discovery Center, 2 Avenue A: Tom Ricardi, a licensed rehabilitator and wildlife biologist, will present birds he is rehabilitating.

There will be a job fair Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Great Falls Discovery Center, 2 Avenue A hosted by LifePath (formerly Franklin County Home Care Corporation).

LifePath works with a variety of home health care companies to coordinate services that will support the independent living of elders and people with disabilities.
