ROWE — The town will hold a public hearing Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall to consider discontinuing maintenance of lower Tunnel Road.
According to Town Administrative Clerk Janice Boudreau, access to the road is restricted by an old railroad-owned bridge with a 6-ton weight limit, which means highway snow plows, fire trucks and ambulances can’t cross over. She said there are two homes on the stretch where road maintenance would be discontinued.
