Fire prevention week: Sunderland Public Library is celebrating Fire Prevention week with a special Fire Prevention Story Time on Friday at 11 a.m. Fire Fighter Megan Ahearn of the Sunderland Fire Department will read stories and show children her real fire truck. Children and parents will also learn how to prevent fires and what to do in case of a fire. This program is free and open to all children ages 3 to 5 and their caregivers. Great Falls Coffeehouse: Polly Fiveash & Anand Nayak will perform in the Great Hall at the Great Falls Discovery Center, 2 Avenue A on Friday at 7 p.m. They have been writing songs and singing together for over 20 years. Both started singing at a young age, Polly with the Mystic River Chorale and the Christmas Revels, and Anand with church choirs.
