Regarding the article of having trash pick up on one side of the street. I don’t believe there are 45 percent of the people for this ridiculous proposal. Has anyone thought of the elderly having to lug their trash another 30 feet across the street and through traffic? Or the children that have the chores to take out trash and needing to cross the street? Or the property taxes we pay in Greenfield for trash pick up? If the DPW doesn’t want to do so much work, maybe we should hire workers that want to do the work. Having someone else’s trash or putting my own trash on someone else’s property is not right and is an invasion of sorts. Wake up Greenfield think about what you are proposing. When a young child or elderly adult gets hit by a car crossing the street taking out the trash it will be YOUR fault. Not the driver or the person taking out the trash.
