Greenfield, Sept. 21

1:44 p.m. — Caller from the area of the Dollar Tree on the Mohawk Trail reports a female sitting in the driver’s sear of a white Honda Pilot, screaming at children in the back seat; officer dispatched, but vehicle was gone on arrival.

4:16 p.m. — State police are following a vehicle they believes has three occupants, and one of them has a shotgun in their lap; they request Greenfield Police to respond to in front of Applebees on the Mohawk Trail where they’ve pulled them over; officers sent, and services rendered.

6:53 p.m. — Disturbance at McDonald’s on Federal Street where the reporting person states there are eight to 10 males out in the south side of the parking lot, and the caller believes it may be the start of a fight; it appears the verbal altercation is getting physical; officers found friends fooling around, with no issues, and all those there stated they were just playing.

11:49 p.m. — Reporting person from Smitty’s Bar on Chapman Street says a vehicle outside has been there for over two hours with the occupant inside; officer spoke with the bartender, and she will call tomorrow night if the vehicle is parked there again.

Greenfield, Sept. 22

7:49 a.m. — Breaking and entering reported on Highland Avenue where officers found it wasn’t a medical as first believed; a female was found in a vacant bedroom, and not willing to leave; officers spoke with the reporting person who states the female lived here four or five years ago; but she doesn’t live here now, and isn’t welcome; the female was advised she has to leave; she gathered up her items, and made rude comments to all responders, including Fire Department personnel; left the premises; she was advised that if she returns to the property, she will be arrested. In speaking with others at that location, they have concerns for the female’s well being, and their own safety; there’s a history of mental health issues, and they have known her to sleep with edged weapons, and in the past made statements she would harm others; no weapons found during officers interaction with the female, and no statements made to complete a Section 12 process; the reporting person was advised of trespass, and or harassment protective order; the female will be summoned to court for breaking and entering with intent to commit a misdemeanor.

8:10 a.m. — Report of a past breaking and entering on Pray Drive; officer investigating, and another officer assisted with interviewing neighbors; report issued.

9:48 a.m. — Breaking and entering into a motor vehicle reported on Miles Street; officer found that taken from the vehicle was an MSI-FX20 laptop computer, no serial number available, black in color.

9:53 a.m. — Breaking and entering reported at Replay on Federal Street, officer to investigate.

10:02 a.m. — Report of a male outside, on Alden Street, and screaming; an ongoing issue; the subject yelling won’t come to the door; an officer spoke with him through the window, but no further action at this time; spoke with the reporting person and gave her some options.

12:31 p.m. — Disturbance at Oak Courts where the caller says a male is trying to enter a residence and pulling people out of it; the caller lives next door; caller reporting at her residence, people she doesn’t know came there and are fighting with her and her family; advised the daughter just told her they were kicked out for selling drugs; officers sent, two people showed up and confronted people in the caller’s residence, and one of them beat up the caller’s daughter last night at Hillside Park; this was confirmed by the daughter; subjects left in a vehicle; due to conflicting information from witnesses and those involved, officer attempting to obtain a video from Greenfield Housing Authority, and the caller was advised of her options; under investigation.

1:07 p.m. — Burglar alarm sounding at the Community Substance Abuse Center on Shelburne Road; multiple zones showing, officers entering the building; on arrival they located handprints on all of the back windows, one side window closed, but unlocked; perimeter officers arrived and then cleared the building, all interior doors locked, including bathrooms; no key holders; cobwebs were over all windows and no entry appeared to have been made.

1:09 p.m. — Unwanted person reported on Abbott Street; officers sent, and the reporting person wants two of the residents removed from the apartment; she was advised we can’t force the people to leave; the reporting person states she will go to court and obtain a restraining order; the reporting person wasn’t reporting of being in fear of harm, just wants them to leave.

2:22 p.m. — Hit-and-run reported on Chapman Street where the caller says a red, four-door vehicle backed into a green four-door vehicle, and the red vehicle was last seen going south on Chapman Street; officer sent ,and investigation led arrest of Hilary A. Henderson, 31, of Chapman Street, Greenfield, on two warrants.

2:33 p.m. — Breaking and entering into a motor vehicle reported on School Street; officer sent and found the incident occurred about midnight, where the caller witnessed a subject running down the driveway, and believes they stole the spare key to the vehicle; the caller reports her roommate heard something in the driveway at midnight; when they looked outside, the doors to the car were open and the people were seen running from the driveway; they found nothing missing at that time and didn’t call police; car was unlocked and keys taken.

2:46 p.m. — Hit-and-run accident reported on Sanderson Street at the Baystate Franklin Medical Center Medical Office Building; reporting person states she believes her vehicle may have been struck while parked in the parking lot; she states she is unsure who caused the damage to the front passenger side of her vehicle; the officer checked, and didn’t find any surveillance cameras; minor damage found, and the reporting person has notified her insurance company, and would just like the incident filed.

3:42 p.m. — Reporting person says she was “jumped” last night at Hillside Park by six or seven individuals, including two females and she says she has injuries to her left eye and facial area, but she didn’t seek medical attention at that time.

3:49 p.m. — Caller who is concerned about a call earlier; she was advised that the case is still under investigation, and due to conflicting involved people, and witnesses statements, an arrest couldn’t be made on scene; however, upon completion of the investigation, if charges are warranted, they will be requested.

5:12 p.m. — Complaint that multiple cars are parked on the field/grass where they aren’t supposed to park; the caller advised this is an ongoing issue; call was taken by an officer.

6:17 p.m. — Unwanted person reported at Ruggeri’s store on Deerfield Street, an agitated male refusing to leave; while on the phone, the male left on a bicycle heading south; subject was located, and moved along, the business was advised of trespass options.

7:36 p.m. — Caller reports a white male stumbling in the area of Wells and Devens streets; he has fallen three times and may have struck his face or head; three cruisers in the area quickly, but unable to locate.

9:29 p.m. — Suspicious activity reported in the area of Colrain Road, by Four Rivers Charter School or Charlene Manor Nursing Home, where a male is pushing a shopping cart full of items, in traffic, and wearing all black; officer found the male was homeless, and was walking toward the motel; nothing needed.

10:45 p.m. — Disturbance at the Franklin Recovery Center and Behavioral Health where the staff is requesting police for a male in the lobby that is highly intoxicated and making threats; there is a female with him and she is trying to calm him down, but the staff won’t approach him at this time; the male was leaving with his wife as officers arrived; no longer an issue, and refused to speak with officers; staff states the male had become verbally abusive, but left on his own accord.

11:56 p.m. — Suspicious activity reported on School Street where the caller says there are two cars across the street, with three people outside of the cars, and she smells something funny; officer located the people sitting on the curb smoking cigarettes; nothing further needed.

Orange, Sept. 22

12:45 a.m. — Officer wanted on East Main Street where Shelburne Control reports a caller is concerned with a male who tipped his motorcycle over while getting on it; on officer’s arrival the subject was off his motorcycle, and requested a ride home, as he felt unfit to ride the bike; the bike was towed and the male was given a ride to his residence.

7:40 a.m. — Caller from Holtshire Road reports her car was stolen; it was later recovered in Gardner; under investigation.

11:10 a.m. — Caller from East Main Street reports a man is at the station looking to report a credit card fraud to his business account; the officer responded and a report was taken for charges made in three other states. Under investigation.
