Howdy. I liked the recent editorial on the Berkshire Gas moratorium and its economic impact (Sept. 6). I attended the hearing where Sen. Stan Rosenberg, representatives of Amherst, Hadley and other towns, and representatives of organizations spoke quite eloquently while applying for intervenor status.

As far as I can tell, Greenfield never applied to be an intervenor in this process nor was any representative of the town’s government evident at that hearing. Why is that?

Maybe the mayor or the Town Council can give us an explanation as to why they missed that boat.
