Frontier Regional School is still unbeaten in the Bill Fitzpatrick era.

The Red Hawks won their 19th consecutive match under the second-year coach by winning five of the six individual matches to defeat Greenfield High School, 16½-7½, in Bi-County League Northern Division golf action Thursday at the Country Club of Greenfield.

Mike Corduff led the Red Hawks (5-0 overall, 4-0 North) with a team-low 39 and took 3 points from the No.2 spot. Bryan Baumann (42) and Kalen Evans also took 3 points, while Rowan Blair’s 3½ points from the fifth spot clinched the victory.

Scott Pelis swept the final match for Frontier.

Tyler Boissonneault was match medalist with a 2-over 36 and swept 4 points.

McCann Tech 15, FC Tech 9 — Bradley Tatro and Jake Tower both swept 4 points to lead McCann Technical School over Franklin County Technical School Thursday at Thomas Memorial Golf & Country Club in Turners Falls.

Match medalist Travis Cutting (43), Hunter Sessions and Dante Rosado all took 3 points for the Eagles (0-5, 0-3 North).

Pioneer 22½, Turners Falls 1½ — Sam Kitfield- Vernon fired an even-par 35 and swept 4 points to lead Pioneer Valley Regional School over Turener Falsl Hgh School, 22½-1½, in North golf action Thursday at Thomas Memorial.

Jake Willis also carded a 35 and took 3½ points, while Kyle Maynard (43) also took 4 points for the Panthers .

Tyler Noyes took 1 point for the Indians.

Field hockey

Turners Falls 2, Southwick 0 — It was an emotional day in Turners Falls and around much of Franklin County on Thursday with the news of beloved educator Earl McGraw’s passing, but the Turners Falls High School field hockey team found a way to play through the pain and Cassidhe Wozniak’s two goals helped the Indians to a 2-0 West Division win over Southwick-Tolland Regional High School in Southwick.

McGraw, who has worked at a number of area schools and was most recently the assistant principal at Turners Falls, passed away after a battle with cancer and many area schools spent the day grieving the man who touched so many lives. Turners Falls coach Megan Gilbert said it was not easy for her team, but the girls worked together to get the victory.

“Today was an emotional day and we worked really hard as a team today,” she explained.

Wozniak put the Indians (3-2-1 overall) ahead with 4 minutes, 52 seconds left in the first half when she finished off a pass from Julie Sprankle. The Turners Falls sophomore got her second of the game 3:33 into the second half when she scored on a rebound off the pads of Southwick goalie Sarah Power (13 saves) for a 2-0 lead.

The Indians also got a big effort out of goalie Maddie Currier, who made 14 saves to pick up the shutout.

Frontier 7, Pioneer 0 — McKenzie Patterson scored two goals and added an assist as Frontier Regional School blanked Pioneer Valley Regional School, 7-0, in an independent field hockey game Thursday in South Deerfield.

Varsity call-up Kathryn Mason scored her first two career goals for the Red Hawks (6-1-0), who led 4-0 at halftime. Ashley Borkowski, Olivia Vecellio and Celia Speth each added a single tally. Lauren MacDonald added two assists, and Vecellio and Camille Alli both had one assist.

Frontier held the advantage in shots (36-2) and corners (16-3). Skyla Burniski didn’t facce a shot and Darian Meyers stopped both shots in the second half for the shared shutout. Steph Scoville recorded 29 saves for the Panthers.

Frontier hosts Agawam High School Monday at 3:30 p.m.

Greenfield 7, Mahar 2 — Raegan Hickey had three first-half goals on Thursday and Greenfield High School knocked off Mahar Regional School, 7-2, in a North Division field hockey game in Greenfield.

The Green Wave (6-0-0) led 5-1 at halftime thanks to the trio of tallies from Hickey. Alyssa Garvin added two goals for the Green Wave, and Olivia Joy and Kailee Stovall each had one goal. Audrey Bresciano and Ashley Hubbard each had an assist. Sam Smith finished with nine saves to pick up the win.

Joslyn O’Brien and Lily Fellows each had a goal for Mahar, and Rachel Latwis notched an assist. Hannah Birch finished with 15 saves.

Girls’ volleyball

Minnechaug 3, Frontier — Minnechaug Regional High School won a close fifth set to hand Frontier Regional School a 20-25, 25-17, 25-23, 10-25, 15-12 loss in PVIAC East Division girls’ volleyball action Thursday night in South Deerfield.

Lauren Davenport finished with 10 kills five aces and nine digs for the Red Hawks (4-3), and Selayna Bathurst had six kills, 10 aces and 10 digs. Grace Randall finished with five kills and three aces, and Penelope Hosley had four kills. Ella Deane had 25 assists and five digs, and Bri Thurber had five digs.
