Trailer Park is the headliner for this week’s Tool Town Live concert series at Fish Park.

The concert is Saturday, Sept. 3, from 7 to 9 p.m. and is free for all ages.

Celebrating their 22nd anniversary this year, Trailer Park has achieved a level of popularity and critical acclaim across the northeastern US. Steve Morse of the Boston Globe says Trailer Park, “… has all the necessary ingredients — a stylish look, a satchel of great songs, and a lively stage presence that spells an unstoppable future!”

Trailer Park is a 10-legged rock ‘n’ roll machine powered by James Robinson on guitar, Tom Mahnken on bass, Greg Lauzon and Rick Page on tenor saxes and Joe Fitzpatrick on drums. All sing. The music is a tribute to the horn-driven rhythm and blues bands of 1950s New Orleans, the catchy melodies of timeless pop and the you-better-shake-it vibe of Latin music.

Members of the band say, “Trailer Park plays original, sax-soaked rock ‘n’ roll. It’s often been called ‘Barbeque Music,’ though we couldn’t tell you exactly why.”

If there is a chance of rain, the concert will be held in Memorial Hall, 584 Main Street in Athol.

The concert series continues Saturday, Sept. 10, at Fish Park, when the legendary blues band The Mighty King Snakes performs.

The concerts are organized by Ethan Stone.
