2:40 p.m. — Request that police check the welfare of a person on Mill Street; the male was found to be in his room, intoxicated but no injuries; he refused transport for Detox.

3:08 p.m. — Caller from Big Y Foods on the Mohawk Trail where Loss Prevention reports an involved person is panhandling there; the subject was gone on arrival of police. No issues found.

4:35 p.m. — Accident reported at Tractor Supply Co.; two vehicles involved, no injuries reported; found to be minor damage, under $1,000; the first vehicle slipped out of park, and struck a second vehicle; information was exchanged.

5:23 p.m. — Shoplifting reported at the Inkwell News on Federal Street, officer to investigate, and the reporting person will email camera stills for evidence.

5:50 p.m. — Accident reported on Plain Road; one vehicle involved, no injuries reported; the operator was transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center under a Section 12 process.

7:17 p.m. — Traffic stop on the Route 2 bypass where the operator of the vehicle was cited for speed of 70 mph in a 55 mph zone, and for no license in possession.

7:33 p.m. — Shoplifting reported at Big Y Foods on the Mohawk Trail where the female was detained and was cooperative; Loss Prevention states she is trespassed as well.

7:41 p.m. — Traffic stop on the Route 2 bypass, another 70 mph vehicle in a 55 mph zone, operator cited.

7:47 p.m. — Welfare check on a person on Grader Lane , person was located and transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center under a Section 12 process.

8:19 p.m. — Traffic stop on the Route 2 bypass, operator cited for speed of 68 mph in the 55 mph zone, and failure to obey a sign.

8:49 p.m. — Traffic stop on the Route 2 bypass for a vehicle going 72 mph in the 55 mph zone.

9:09 p.m. — Disturbance on Linden Avenue where the caller reported a disturbance with his landlord, and the reporting person will wait outside for police; found to be civil issues about cooking items, and arguments between roommates; they were advised to resolve their issues.

9:14 p.m.— Traffic stop on the Route 2 bypass, and citation issued for failure to obey a sign and speed 70 in 55 mph zone.

9:40 p.m. — Traffic stop on Route 2 for speed of 73 mph in 55 zone.

9:59p.m. — Traffic stop on Route 2 bypass for 74 mph in 55 mph zone.

10:22p.m. — Traffic stop on Route 2 bypass for 81 mph in the 55 mph zone.

10:22 p.m. — Trespassing reported at Camp Kee-wanee on Health Camp Road, where the caller says people are trying to set up tents and camp here; they are giving the reporting person a hard time about leaving; officers sent, and then the reporting person called back to state they are leaving in a white pickup truck with a rack on top, but he would still like to talk with the officers.

Greenfield, Aug. 28

1:19 a.m. — Disturbance reported on Main Street; officer sent, and found it to be a first-time drinker, and his friends will be taking him home.

1:23 a.m. — Officers on Main Street to serve a warrant; arrested was Desmond Wheeler, 19, listed as homeless in other jurisdictions, on the warrant.

1:34 a.m. — Disturbance on Wells Street where the caller says he can hear a female screaming, and it sounds like she is being slapped; officers sent and found it to be friends having a 50th birthday party; all agreed to shut it down for the night.

6:37 a.m. — Larceny reported by a walk-in who reports he had credit cards stolen from him and he would like to speak with an officer; services rendered.

8:52 a.m. — Forgery reported from High Street where the caller says her email was hacked, and all emails from Social Security are gone; the caller says she got a solicitation from a company named “Viztec,” for email security; she reported that after she signed up online with the company, her account was hacked, and she was locked out of her account; she then discovered her SSI account was also altered; she had been in contact with the Social Security Administration and her bank and she was advised to report the incident to her local police.

4:59 p.m. — Traffic stop on the Interstate 91 south ramp at Mohawk Trail; investigation leads to arrest of Eric Cortes, 35, of Utica, N.Y., on a warrant, and for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation.

5:18 p.m. — Caller from Park Avenue would like an officer to speak with his grandson about marijuana; officer spoke with the family concerning stealing and smoking weed; the 12-year-old was having issues with two people in the neighborhood, including alleged drug activity on Farren Street. Under investigation.

7:13 p.m.— Caller from Colrain Street reports two people fighting; officers sent and found friends were upset, and throwing plants around, but no assault; situation discussed and they were advised of options.

7:26 p.m. — Caller from the Shell station on the Mohawk Trail states there is a tour bus there and the group smells of marijuana; officer advised, and then reported they were gone on officer’s arrival.

11:34 p.m. — Caller from Linden Avenue reporting there is a strange sedan out in front of her house, with the engine running; officers sent, and found it to be a male and female talking, and they were moved along.

Orange, Aug. 28

4:22 p.m. — Caller from Magoon Road reports a bag of trash was left by his mailbox; officer to follow up.

5:30 p.m. — Control advised they got a 911 call with an open line from a North Main Street address, officer spoke with a male and female that live together on the second floor, and it was found to be a verbal altercation; peace was restored.

9:07 p.m. — Anonymous caller from Ball Street reported a disturbance behind the reported address; on officer’s arrival the tenants advised there was no issue.

Greenfield, Aug. 29

2:27 a.m. — Report of a male outside of Cumberland Farms on Federal Street that appears disoriented, has dried blood on his shirt; officers found the male stumbling in the parking lot, with large pupils, cold, clammy, confusion, unsteady on his feet, diaphoretic and covered in dried blood and abrasions; Medcare contacted, but male was unable to answers questions regarding the events leading up to police interaction; he was transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center for treatment; Detox reports the male left sometime between 3 and 11 p.m., and they don’t want him to return.

9:18 a.m. — Accident reported at McDonald’s on Federal Street, but no injuries reported. Found to be minor accident and officer assisted with information exchange.
